8 x Ukulele Comparison Video! - Snail Concert & Tenor Ukuleles 

Just realised this was 5 years ago! Snail will no doubt have refined even further now. Alex, it's such a nice change to see us lefties being catered for. I was actually in touch with your shop yesterday enquiring about suitable left-hand concert ukuleles. I'm torn, at the moment, between the Snail concert with the cutaway, and the Ohana CK35GCE-LH. There were some nice ones in your demo too. 👍

Alex I have just got home from the specialist burns unit , my wonderful grandson just 2 years old pulled a coffee onto himself, I can’t tell you how lovely it is to watch you playing and talking to us and it really is worth your time 😊

I've had my snail for more than a year and frankly, I'm not interested in any other brand now. Nothing else has that sweeteness and that sustain. I love the shape and set up which is identical in almost all snail tenors, so the next one has to be a snail too. I'm considering the scooped one, with a pickup. I'd really like an 8 string but I don't think they do one yet.

I'm addicted to your videos. I really appreciate the ones where you are comparing multiple ukes against each other. It helps tremendously since I don't have any local ukulele shops to do that myself. I think that I like the BHC-6T Solid Cedar Top/Ebony Tenor Ukulele with Slotted Headstock the best. Thank you.

Sadly, I had to sell on my SR4C which was a beautiful uke for the money. I thoroughly recommend Snail as a brand.

I just got a new Snail BHC-6T Tenor and I will never doubt your reviews again! It is beautifully made and plays and sounds better than instruments triple it’s price! Thanks for introducing me to Snail ukuleles.

This is Oct. 2019. Alex, when I first saw you playing a Snail uke I loved the sound and searched all over to find Snail ukes, at that time I could only find them on UK online sites. Ordering from the UK just makes the cost so much more, the pound is so much stronger than the US dollar, but now they are a little more available, the reason I am typing this message is to ask you a question. I love the Snail cedar top and am planning on getting one for my birthday. I normally prefer a tenor but listening to recording that you have made and a few others have made of the cedar top snail uke, it sounds like the concert has a better sound. Since you have played them, in your opinion, does the concert or tenor sound better to you? There aren't any anywhere near me to go and try in person. I am planning on getting either the concert or tenor, I have both sizes in other ukes, so I like both, though I usually lean toward a tenor . . . .. . .to your ear. . . . .. .do you prefer one of them (snail cedar concert or tenor) over the other for sound? As I stated earlier, in the videos it seems that the concert has a better sound. .. . .thanks! Love your videos

PS meant to ask. When playing the right hand versions, did you just retune them to suit left-hand, or did you change the strings around? Thanks

I’m left handed and got my snail RT- C converted by world of ukes and it is a great instrument, very addictive..How do you find playing upside down ?

How does the suc M3 compare to the suc M1 ? Is it worth the higher price ? I've been playing ukulele for a year on a (very beginner) kala ukadelic and I would like to invest in a better ukulele that I can play for 2-3 years at least

They sound wonderful! I've seen the Snail S60C or S60T on one or two fB sites but never on a retail site. Would you know why?

Hello thank you so much for your videos ! Your vidéo make me discover the Snail ukule which is great. I bought the one with cedar top from a local internet provider (I live in Switzerland) and was quite shocked to discover that this beautiful instrument was send to me without any gig bag. It was surprising to me bigous I’ve bought less expensif ukes and the aleays came with a gig bag.Would you mind if I ask you if this is normal for snail ukuleles to be delivered without a gigbag?
