What’s worse is people on instagram bully her about it. People have told her to try fentanyl. They tell her to “just eat the damn food” that she’s just a picky eater and her disease isn’t real. They say her mom is a bad mom for putting her on the internet because people have said “smash” in the comments. Really it’s so sad.
But at some point I thought the her skipping a grade as a cover up. She did mention that her food limits affected her growth which is why she looks like an 8 year old in 6th grade
I had suffered from claustrophobia .I was scared to enter to enclosed objects like aeroplanes, elevators ,cars. But because of Hannar it all gone away . ❤
if this comment gets 200 likes ill ask my crush out edit: he said yes!! edit2:guys please stop commenting on my videos about my crush yes he said yes and no im not 5 i share an account with my sister now stop please!
As someone with ARFID, this video made me feel emotional because ARFID is one of those things that doesnt get talked about a lot and it is a major thing to some individuals such as myself.
Love Hannah. She's a sweet and kind young girl. She's so cute. I'm happy that this story ended happily. I wish that reality was like this, having the bully realize what they did was wrong. I've been bullied before for being different too. I kept quiet about it and even when a teacher did catch the bully harassing me, it made things worse. It's just sad that life doesn't work in the way these videos work.
Yeah you're right, she didn't deserved to be bullied, I was scared from swimming underwater beacuse i was afraid of drowning but after i remembered Hannnah's message i was able now to swim underwater.
As someone with ARFID, I feel like this is very stereotypical, and most kids with ARFID have their green foods (Safe foods) yellow foods (will tolerate) and red foods (Fear foods) EDIT: If you're going to make fun of my perspective please don't reply, it's not worth my nor your time.
ARFID stands for Avoidant/Restructive Food Intake Disorder, which means you only can't eat a few foods, not all. For example, if your fear food is eggs, you could also just take vitamins and supplements to help with the recovery. ARFID is an ED as much as all other EDs are, just a little different. @@Eggooooooo
Hannah's story reminded me of something that happened that I think is pertinent to Hannah's story. I had to go to a doctor some years ago complaining about some achs and pains and he suggested a solution that I certainly didn't want to try, but he insisted and so I did. My problem wasn't fear but disgust for his solution. After trying his solution, I found that the solution wasn't as bad as I thought and have been using it since. My point is that there are many things that can keep us from moving forward, and Hannah's story points out the hard things in life do not have to be impossible. Thank you Hannah for being an inspiration to many people. 😊
So proud of Hannah. i've been keepimg up with her challenging herself trying new food on instagram and this really broadens the struggle she shows us through her positive and motivating videos.
5:03 NO WAY HE JUST INSULTED THE LITTLE BITES THOSE THINGS ARE SO SWEET AND GOOD I LOVE THEM HOW DARE HE ACTUALLY FORGET THAT HE JUST INSULTED HONEY AND PRINGLES?! WHAT.
I agree! She is also a new and small influencer. @myarfidlife. And she has Arvid in real life. And has made great progress. If you’re reading this Hannah, we’re all so proud of you.
That’s the cutest little girl I’ve ever seen on Dhar Mann. She’s absolutely adorable!!! With her cute little round face and cute bandanas. She reminds me of a little panda bear

I luv this vid! I also have arfid and it really helps me be less embarrassed of it. Being around lots of food can make me so uncomfortable. Seeing content about Arfid really just makes me so happy and seen! I really wish i was as strong as Hannah , trying food might seem easy, but for people with Arfid it can take A LOT and make people TERRIFIED. So her trying something new everyday blows my mind!
I was rolling on the floor😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My friend grew up with arfed and it was really hard to get him to eat. He would vomit often and be very small. I’m very happy with how accurate Dhar Mann made someone with Arfed to be. 👏👏
Not to mention, there was literally no point in saying that because junk food isn’t very fueling in general, and btw it’s pretty hypocritical for him to say “I don’t want your junk food” when he’s literally stuffing his face with jelly donuts and moon pies, also a whole 5-course meal with a bunch of fried food. What even are these scripts..?
As a person with ARFID, I want to clarify that it is not the fear of food! Cibophobia is the fear of food. ARFID, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, is just a condition that limits food intake- essentially making you a very picky eater. Now, 1:09 is quite an awkward situation, and it would be quite uncomfortable. For me personally, I would not react that strongly to just seeing a food, though everyone has a different version of ARFID! It's like autism- it's a soup. Some people feel sick when they see certain foods! Some people can't eat certain textures or tastes! Many, many, many people are a mixture! Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up, thank you for reading!
I thought Hannahs real Mom would play her Mom. That would have been nice. I've been following her journey on Instagram. She did a good job memorizing all those lines.
As an adult who was suffered from this his entire life, let me tell you the struggle is real. I am not sure when this was discovered, but it definitely was not when I was a little thank you for bringing attention to it.
She is so cute and adorable. I never realize ARFID was a thing. I’m so sorry this little girl went thru this and how smart to decide to make videos to help others. I can imagine as a Mom the struggles and the hurt she felt inside having people look at her and shaming her. Great video 🎉
Sadly it is, when my son was 2.5 years old he became afraid of eating all food. He went from 70 percentile in weight to 3rd in a matter of months. He went from 34 lbs to 27 lbs. All because he was afraid to eat because he thought it would make him vomit. Thankfully after feeding therapy, Occupational Therapy and a lot of prayer!! He's doing so much better! He is st the 50th percentile for weight still struggles with some foods, but eats enough to be gaining weight and growing. He's small for his age, but he's catching up. ARFID is scary and can strike without much notice. Every stomach she he gets were concerned he won't want to eat again.
As someone with arfid, the title is not exactly what arfid is. It’s more like “girl is sensitive to food” because I’m not scared of food, it’s more like if every taste, smell, etc, of food was 100x stronger except for the foods that your confortable with, and you can taste things that your not even eating, that’s more what arfid is like. And also Arfid can make you lack nutrients, and make you more skinny (not model shinny like unhealthy skinny) (Edit: I’m sorry that I got some info wrong 😅 I meant more that arfid *usually* isn’t the fear of food, it’s more likely sensitivity, so putting it in that box is false bc not everyone with arfid is scared of food. But Thank you guys for informing me!)
I was about to type that because if it were to be a fear then she would be afraid of it and avoid with no actual reason it unlike having a sensitivity disorder
Arfid is different for everyone because there’s also different types. Hannah has all 3 types. I also have ARFID and have all 3 types. Now for me I am actually scared of food because I’m also scared of the implications eg choking, getting sick, becoming allergic etc
Morals of the story: 1. Treat everyone with kindness and respect because you don't know the full extent of what they're going through. 2. Hard doesn't mean impossible. Don't let any challenge stand in your way. 3. With a little faith, you can conquer any fear.
