Good going with the black mesh, less noticeable. As it would be inhumane to expect a dog to be restricted to the confined space for a long time, I'd have gone with a door which could be retracted out of sight. Maybe a flap hinge with a cantilever handle to avoid bending, or a hinge on a slide for the same stowed position, sliding mesh :o I was thinking of the same area for my dog, but the door would be used as a step for a higher bed higher garage. I hope the spare seat can swivel if a double, with space to move between into the van
