Turbo teen was a cartoon I used to love as a kid not as good as transformers but fun. Did anyone notice bone age used a line from the thundercats theme song? (feel the power, hear the roar)

7:22 I'm not sure what is funnier about this transformation sequence: That it likely took the animators at least 3 weeks to painstakingly animate, or, that what triggers the transformation is hot foods which means TT will never be a coffee drinker.

Gotta love when you catch your toe or something on one of the slip n slide pegs going 80 miles per hour. God damn did that hurt... it seemed to happen every time someone had it set up.

Turbo teen needed a burrito to transform??? A burrito??? WTF.

The premise of the show was that he could transform into a car when exposed to heat and transform back to a human when he was exposed to cold. Each episode changed up what caused him to transform.

Being a Gen-X'er, I remember watching Saturday morning cartoons from way back when. But I've *never* heard of "Turbo Teen"! I can see why it didn't last (and why it's forgotten).

MOTU-don't recall if Buzz-Off ever appeared in that crtoon, but Whiplash did in a few episodes Turbo Teen-guy always sounded like he was constipated during his transformation lol Lee Press On Nails for teens-kind of a creepy ad

and here I thought the transformation only worked with say hot soup, tea or coffee, didn't think spicy foods would trigger it. :P also wow the usa kids club I forgot that was a thing!!

7:34 - And here we have the freakiest "transformation sequence " ever in a cartoon. And you just have to love how the kid says "It's nice and hot, Turbo Teen" before he tosses him the burrito. Mexican stereotypes AND kids turning into cars. This is why the 80s cartoons were great in their sheer stupidity.

Turbo Teen on ABC followed by Turbo Teen on USA -- timeless 80s entertainment! (and a stereotype that certainly wouldn't fly today!)

I don't remember that Froot Loops commercial on one of your videos...needless to say, I remembered every word. Bone Age...wow. How do those dinosaur bones animate? Are those cavemen necromancers in disguise? No one I knew would've been caught dead with one of those Roller Racers. I think USA used that Cartoon Express animation for many, many years afterwards.

Who thought Kellogg's OJs was a good idea? An orange flavored cereal in milk? Gross. That after taste must have been disgusting.

@@Clay3613 Yeah but unfortunately it didn’t taste like it. Think milk plus... you know that generic orange drink that’s in the back of the fridge in the grocery store. Yeah mix those two things together.

Bone Age was awesome (but apparently extremely unpopular), as my parents were able to get a few of them on clearance. They went great with Dino Riders, and later TMNT. Large well molded dino bones are a useful prop to have around. I remember OJ's being really good. Would love to try again to confirm. And I imagine being a Turbo Teen is rather painful, well... the transformation looks painful anyway. What a odd show.

Celery with cheese? Jeez Timer your snack sounds horrible, I'll just have a regular carrot. Bone Age is another one of those 80s properties I only know about from the sketch Robot Chicken did on it.
