Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV 🔴 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; [20] but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. [21] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.,
By the way, about the turn signal thing, I'm at swift academy right now. what I just learned is that the trucks don't have self cancelling signals because you have to continuously signal through the turn for it to be legal. So after your steering wheel is straight after you turn your trailer is still in the turn
I decided to join Swift an had contact with my recruiter last week , and had an spoke with a different recruiter on first option. I was an applicant of Swift Transport a few years ago, my decision is choosing a 5 week training instead of 2 week . I had a lot of CDL Training , paying thru student loan. My driving instructor told me to go thru the carrier , you'll be trained and hired a lot faster. I still have skills and knowledge had gained. What I will be doing is far different from a CDL school; I know working for a carrier is a different ballgame.
Great video brother, there’s nothing better than watching a truck vlog with a blue swift truck in it. And you bout like me when it comes to personal gps vs swift gps. That damn swift gps will take you around the world and down some unfriendly truck route backroads. It did me like that last weekend in the Oklahoma City area then it’ll freeze or get confused and once again great content man hopefully you’ll keep them coming
Good to see young drivers in this profession; I’m almost 30yrs in owner operator. Word of advice, try to pull tandems back while offloading to make offloading easier (depending on how heavy the load is and to preserve trailer life lol). Good content
An ol' trucker told me a truckig joke. He said, "Did you know that driving truck is like owning a computer?" I said "no" He continued with "Yeah! cause you're constantly debugging windows" hahaha
What gps do you use? I finished my otr training with my TE going back Monday to test for my cdl. Wanted to be prepared when I go otr been trying to look up best gps for truckers. Thanks in advance and good vid, stay safe
Benny I had to laugh concerning the glad hands lock. Remember I'm the 75 year old retired driver, well they didn't have glad hand locks when I was driving! At least I never saw one.
Hey bro whats up gr8 video, first one ive seen from you, i just wanna kniw whats it like driving for swift? I been thinking about it for a while now but not sure if i should
Can you make a video saying how much you made your first year at swift? I understand if you dont want to share that information. Good videos nonetheless keep it up! 👍🏼
Speaking of turn signals: I am noticing a new generation of trucker that will turn on their turn signal to pass on the interstate, and leave it on until they move back over following the pass. Not just a few folks doing it, LOTS of folks are doing this now. Is it being taught at some driving schools? I know it's not in the CDL manual. Is it laziness? I will say that truck you are in has a turn signal sound loud enough to remind you to manually shut it off lol. Thanks for sharing. Wish you would put out some more content. You still driving with Swift?
@@bennydrives Good to hear. I think folks chase after different smaller company driving opportunities, thinking things will be better... But really a large carrier probably offers more variety and equipment as well as stability. Take care out there.
Look out swift is coming in the parking lot theme song from jaws lol Just joking I watch a lot of bonehead Truckers and see a lot of swift drivers messing up
Not everyone has a daddy or uncle that brought them in. Not everyone even has a dad or uncles around. Some guys gotta get there on their own, at least mega carriers give us that shot we'd never get anywhere else.
Watch out making videos while driving I used to watch a couple other drivers that used to lease and another company driver and swift fired them I would definitely check with them
@@bennydrives I should be looking to get a mentor at Swift around the last week of August. Your videos helped me make the decision to go with Swift. I think I'd be easy to teach as one of your first students. I'm a easy going type of guy. I just listen and learn. Also I always try to drive as safely as possible. I take it really serious. Never been in a wreck. Anyway keep the content coming bro 👍
i really love this kinda job and i believe i could be good at it but how can i get in contact with you i dont do instagram but i do have facebook peace...
