When you picked up; (08), that 13,000 pound load, BE CAREFUL of picking up a HIGH trailer. Your 5th WHEEL should be 2/5's going under the trailer OR you'll have a GAP. There should be NO LIGHT; "BETWEEN" the trailer and 5th WHEEL. To CORRECT this, DROP the trailer DOWN, to the 2/5's mark on your 5th WHEEL. RE-CHECK the GAP. Then you'll know that you are HOOKED PROPERLY. Your Friend, Mark. I have seen to many people DROP trailers that HOOKED TOO HIGH!!!
@@Marlowe16_ bro for a few weekends try staying out and get them to give you the best paying loads in your area. For me that’s when the real money comes in
Swift is not a bad place to work i worked there driver leader is the biggest thing if ya click together the only problem with swift is your worth 5000.00 in government money to be replaced the rat on the Dash with safty ramp speeds or speed limits in some areas an traffic light cencors an spped trap cencors ya get called in to safty on stupid stuff that is Bull just to replace ya for orientation because of government jobs money or training money how would you like to make a million dollars a month or new driver per terminal the only thing i would like to see is they need more hr on new driver's need to swith off on mentor's if ya never drove a truck over the road or held CDL more than 3 years this would save a lot of stupid stuff on new drivers an quit harassing old driver with safty nick pick bull i like the place but the delays you get between bill of landing or potatoe skin
the way i see it honestly is sacrifice the time to get experience and then jump boats to another company that pays better and slowley move up i mean people nowadys think they just get a license and expect to get 2k fresh out of school its like everything else YOU HAVE TO PUT THE TIME IN!
Benny oh my gosh your back brother 🙏 I remember watching the swift videos I have been at swift since January of 2023 😎 kinda always wandered about flatbed now I get to see let’s go Benny
As a retired professional truck driver when the state of Illinois first started the 55 mph speed limit to save fuel after I had driven for a while I started feeling sleepy! SO I totally disagree with the 55 mph speed limit at least allow your trucks to go 65 mph that's an offered opinion!
whats a "real truck driver"? cool video, man. im glad i watched it. Lord willing this is probably the route im going to take . You should do a video on the best truck stops and restaurants. Just a thought.
Just watched this video 2 years later lol, If you are still with swift, I test out Monday, and Ill be needing a mentor soon Id like pair up, in Memphis TN.
