LMR got me into cars on RU-vid in like 07-08 with their blue C6 they built at the time that was just an animal. That car will still probably wreck 90% of C7 builds.
I strongly doubt the 488 driver was embarrassed. I have a 2019 GT3RS, and I'm fully aware there are plenty of cheaper cars than can whup my ass in a straight line...especially modded ones. That's not why I bought it. Guys who are older and have the money for toys like this generally aren't dumb.
@@LILBANKSN502 I'm sure they can. But I'm telling you the likelihood of something like this embarrassing them is pretty low. The idea is that they would be embarrassed because somebody beat them with a cheaper car...like they were stupid to pay more for less performance. I'm telling you they already know this can happen, and choose the expensive car for other reasons anyway. I bought my expensive car for some specific reasons, and it's the best choice for me any my reasons. I'm fully aware that some cheap tuner car can kick my ass down the highway, and I don't care in the slightest. Having the race is fun, and if somebody beats me, more power to him.

Im a huge GM guy but to be fair the 488 didn't have much room to accelerate very hard with the car in his lane ahead but im sure 800 hp would rip that Ferrari regardless.
The fbo, H/C on this Z0 is 15k installed. Ferrari stock. Z0 won't last long whereas these exotics have become much much more reliable. Just a few bolt ons and a goid returned on the 488 and the vette is bye, bye.
@@MasterCarguy44-pk2dq lol a ZO6 cost 60k-70k and a 488 cost 250k-300k big difference put 30k-40k in to a 60k car and u be smoking almost about everything well over 1200whp but is the 488 is a sexy sexy car but not for the money can get a lot more bang for the buck tbh not even a Chevy guy I’m a Mopar or no car guy and if I had 250k-300k to spend on a car I probably get a McLaren 675LT or 720s but that’s just me shit if I had 200k for a car I would build a big block twin turbo car for the strip... I’ll take a viper over a Ferrari any day American super car 💯🤷♂️
@@BrandonV6002 U people really don't understand how Ferrari, Lambo, etc work.. the mere fact that there wont be any customer for a 200k Chevy is what U must understand.. see these brands are aspirational ones..its not like they don't know how to make a Chevy Vette killer at a lower price.. if they start thinking like that pretty sure they ll do it in style.. too See they make these cars like that so that their value increase over time unlike Vettes, Camaros, Vipers, Mustangs etc whose value diminish over time.. I think Ford GT is a car that does appreciate over time.. rest all diminish.. its a business book.. not just a car. There are Audi RS3s with 2.5l i5s running low 8s in Europe.. so they need just 4-6 cylinders and small compact packages if they need high hp runs.. also I still think no US brand has true NA powerhouse like what Porsche has.. Porsche needs just 4000cc, 6 cylinders to make a whooping 520 PS with factory warranty.. GM needs 6200 cc to make that kind f power.. the day an LT or Hemi or Modular Ford motor is able to do that I ll acknowledge US engineering is brilliant.. but even now.. they are just mere competitiors.. no wonder Porsche, BMW, Audis etx ve absolutely no dip n sales despite C8s, Camaros and Mustangs charge. Their customers are different and live in a different dimension.

I think that corvette is the best and would beat the Ferrari, but the video shows you guys closing on the minivan fast, and the Ferrari let up to avoid it. Am I wrong? Like you, I love it!!!

About to be selling my mustang and get me one in a month or so if I’m lucky it’ll take a while to find the exact spec I want, I like to tinker and do stuff myself but when it comes to digging in the motor I’ll be bringing it over to you guys!
my suggestion is for you to sell your customers 'real tires' with their builds ...I have noticed on a couple of your recent build videos, the tires were limiting the improved performance you provided your customers .A set of good tires are cheap compared to the sort of the work you are doing to these cars, and is probably just as important in the car's performance
@@Viper3048 I’m sure in most cases customers get whatever tires they suggest when they get their cars back home. A lot of them come from long distances. Wouldn’t make much sense to buy expensive new tires and then put a bunch of miles on them just getting it back home.

11:43 You need that Ronco "set it and forget it" tune. Don't let that laptop get you killed. We went from "Dual points and matches to move the distributor a tad to get on the laptop" for more horsepower. Be safe brother.

The 488 backed off because there was a car in his lane. In fact you can see his fender come into view because he was out accelerating you. Your lane was clear.

Love it! BUT, which car would lap a circuit faster? Which handles corners better? It’s a huge distinction to consider. I have no idea. At least I could (theoretically) own the Vette! I’m impressed.
The Vette has magnetic suspension (technology invented by GM and "borrowed" by Ferrari.). It also has giant 13" brakes, sometimes ceramic, dry sump, thirteen different coolers, and massive rear tires. This thing was MADE for the track, hence the roots blower instead of a turbo. I'm not sure this Ferrari would keep up on a track either. At one point, the Z06 was the sixth fastest car around the Nurburgring. Obviously that was when it came out, but impressive none the less. The Vette is a true sports car in every sense.
Love what you guys do. Walking a 488 is no joke! My stock 2019 Z06 has a noticeable supercharger whine. Would you say that is normal or might there be a problem? It is stock with just over 9k on it. TIA!
I have a C7 Z06. The biggest problem with it is a lack of traction. To put it simply....the chassis is not able to handle the power of even a stock Z. Adding MORE power is like pissin' up wind. Yes, there is more, but you can't utilize it in any meaningful way.
Ive got a C7 Z06 and your comment is right on the money, I was thinking the exact same thing watching the vid when I came upon your comment, that's the biggest issue with these cars even putting the stock HP to the pavement. I couldn't have said it better because any more power would be pissin in the wind.
From south africa..So i dont know anything about these engines..But one thing i would really love to know is do they swop out the internals like conrods and pistons to take boost and nitrous.
Great channel. I own a C7 Z06. And it is not all about hp.. Had to laugh at your comment that the 488 owner was embarrassed by you walking away from it. He can sell the 488 and buy 4 or 5 Z06's. When ge gets to the restaurant they will still move my Z06 and park the 488 in my spot. Thing is if I could afford a 488 I would buy one and use my ZO6 as a daily driver. Anyway great Channel great build you guys do great work but the comment you made about the 488 driver being embarrassed is just asinine.
