@@NoobsandMen it works well as the number of wargs just swarm the enemy and the heroes are forced to use up their might and will etc whilst the wights throw out annoying spells, then the WK cleans up at the end
Love this bat rep. It took me so long to paint my good army, i've been looking for an evil army, thats easy to paint and has some fun tricks up its sleeve and this is perfect. Thanks for sharing guys, love this batrep and this angmar army.
This could be a KILLER list with dropping maybe 1 or 2 Wights for another Warg Chieftain and/or a Shade and figuring out a way to include a Moria detachment so you can bring a Batswarm or 2 since you don't benefit from the Angmar bonus anyway. The obvious choice is Druzhag the Beastcaller, who would still let you bring Wild Wargs as well as Batswarms and can buff them as well.
Nah the shade would have been an awful addition since noone but the witchy and the wights had angmar keyword so literally everyone would have been at -1 in duels. Honestly the list was already pretty deadly with the amount of wights it had, paralyse is an absolutely fucked spell, easily better than a batswarm in that regard given the model doesn't even roll in the fight and is also counted as prone for wounding. With the 4 or so wights Sean had he could paralyze just about any target he needed to as well. It was an absolutely killer list already 😅 Plus having to take Durburz to get moria included is clunky as hell -Liam
@@NoobsandMen Good points 👍 I didn't notice the Shade didn't apply to the wargs. Perhaps trading out a few wild wargs for warg riders to bubble wrap the witch king/wights with terror to take advantage of the army bonus and add some ranged attacks and knock down?🤷♂️ maybe that's off theme, I don't know Great videos, keep up the good work👍
Do you know if Druzhag's spell applies to the Warg Chieftains? It would make theme ABSOLUTE MONSTERS, more than they already are! I'm just starting, so I'm trying to figure out a list to start and this looked REALY FUN, though I'm trying to look for a way to decheese the wight spam a little a diversify the list into some other options
I really like your warg list Sean, curious though as to why you didn't include any Warg Riders? They're super cost effective + pair really well with the Warg Chieftains since they don't have monstrous charge or knockdown. WK on FB would be really good here too, Rivendell Knights hate being hurled.
Short answer WK on FB and warg riders takes away the amount of dogs I want on the table. This list originated as pure wargs and warg Chieftains. Never had any intention of this army being competitive, it's all for dumb fun and nothing is more fun then mass amounts of puppy dogs. One-day soon I'll definitely add warg riders in to the mix. -Sean
Not that it ended up mattering, but what happened to Elrohir's horse there bout half way in (and Elrond's later on)? Seemed like he was mounted one turn and dismounted the next, didn't think paralyze made you dismount.
Man I hate paralyze….first game I ever played vs angmar, I had the Balrog. Failed the first resist (needed one 5+ on 4 dice) and then never woke up. Not a fun experience as a new player. Almost put me off the game entirely.
Mate I can completely understand you there, paralyze is such an oppressive rule, and to use it against a new player is cruel, I'm glad you stuck around mate. -Sean
