Maaan bro, I remember watching this video when I was getting my PS3, all these years ago. The hype was so pumped up back then for me… Dang I feel old now
Was and is still an epic system.. I have a PS4 now, and I wanted to make sure I got the first one, as if we learned anything from the PS3 its that as time goes on, they simply make a cheaper system and remove things that made the first one feel like money well spent..
I was 16 when I first got the 80 GB PS3 MotorStorm bundle which was back in March of 2008 and I'm already 32 now, almost going on 33. I still have that PS3 console and it still powers on and off fine as far as I know, but it stopped reading the discs unfortunately which is a shame.
Watched this around the time I got my PS3 back in 2008. Skipped out on the PS4 but finally picked up a PS5 back in 2022 and I instantly thought of this vid for some reason. Was hoping he had did a PS4/PS5 unboxing but sadly nope...
When I was a kid my mom kept me away from video games. The only technology we had in our house was a wii we got in 2008. I didn't even know what video games were. Now that I have a PS3 my life is a lot better. I plan on buying an used one of those for no apparent reason.
I still have this particular 80 GB PS3 console which also came with the MotorStorm game and I first got it back in March of 2008. The MotorStorm game still works fine and all, but my 80 GB PS3, unfortunately, doesn't work now anymore since it won't read any of the discs even though the console still powers on and off just fine as far as I know. I used to have a lot of great memories though with playing games on this PS3, especially since it's also backwards compatible with PS2 game discs which was my most favorite feature that I loved about this PS3 and still do. It would have been really nice if Sony would have still kept the PS2 backwards compatibility feature though on later models of the PS3.
No wonder these things are so popular. It feels like christmas morning. All the excitement of getting something new without actually getting something new.
I remember when my cousin had the ps3 back in 2009 it seemed pretty futuristic for me and it's still seem like that i was 3 y.o back then and im 17 now
Back when 7th gen was current/next gen lol!! I still had a PS2 at this time. Lucky you having a new gen system at the time. I'm sure it was awesome. Now with this gen I have a PS4 right now just a year after it came out and it feels awesome, considering the fact that I didn't get a PS3 since 2012! lol.
I was born in 2005 and ps3 was realease in 2006 I was 12 months old and I'm 14 and I love the ps3 more than the PS4. My dad got a ps3 from Best Buy for $400 in 2010. 80g Model CECHL01 I WAS 5 YEARS OLD AT THAT TIME Great memories
I got my PS3 on December 25th, 2007, it was a fat 60GB, I barely played it for a year until I got PSN around November 2008, and then it died in about January/February 2011, and I bought the Slim.
