@@MatrixCobretti I only watched it for the first time recently... I remember all the kids at school going on about it. Its a classic "they dont make em like they used to" type movie. I actually enjoy Swayze as an action guy. I wish he made a few more films like this. Do you have any recomendations?

@@RM-306 You're lucky you got to see it for the first time recently! That must have been quite an experience! I think Swayze was an excellent action star as well. A lot of people don't know it but he was trained in Taekwondo, Shaolin Kung Fu, Aikido, and Kickboxing since he was a teenager. Also all the fight scenes in the movie were full contact! Filming the fight scene at the lake with Marshall Teague got Swayze's ribs cracked and Teague's eye socket fractured. The blood on Teague's face is real blood! As far as other good action movies from Swayze, I would recommend Point Break and Next of Kin. As far as movies in the style of Road House, Road House 2 is fun if you go into it with no expectations. It's nowhere near as good as the original, but it's not a bad way to spend 90 minutes. Also there's a biker movie called Stone Cold from 1991 that is different thing but kind of has a similar rowdy feel to it .

@@RM-306 Yeah, Road House 2 was made much later in 2006 with none of the characters from the original. Swayze was originally going to star, but he had a falling out with the producers so they just changed the story to being about Dalton's son.

Truly one of the best one-liners of all time! That fight scene is a classic, no doubt about it. I appreciated that Scott Adkins had a tribute fight scene of his own to They Live in Debt Collectors. That was a fun in-joke for the fans. Roddy Piper was one of the last of the finest. I miss that guy, he was a lot of fun. It really hit me hard when he passed away. He was one of those guys that seemed like they'd be around forever. RIP.

@@MatrixCobretti yeah I really like RODDY PIPER he was a bit like Jean Claude, he just had that certain thing about him that people loved and that is a classic onliner that I'll never forget it's even better than Arnold Schwarzenegger's and Arnold was king of the one liners. @@mauricebrocklehurst2358 I agree. I feel like Roddy and JCVD have a really sincere and genuine quality about them that makes them instantly likeable. It's a rare quality that you don't see in many other men.

@@MatrixCobretti yes I couldn't agree more I don't think Steven seagal has got that quality he's far too Arrogant for me and doesn't come across as likeable for many people 🤔

@@mauricebrocklehurst2358 You know, it's funny about Seagal, I used to hate him because I read a bunch of unflattering stuff about him on the internet. I'm actually a big fan now. By doing my own research instead of listening to other people's opinions, I found out most of the things people say about him aren't true. I wish he hadn't started the feud between him and Van Damme, but aside from that, I don't have a problem with him anymore. I think that most of the people that don't like Seagal haven't watched his first five movies. In all honesty, you'll be hard pressed to find five other martial arts flicks of equal quality. They're all classic movies. Van Damme's early stuff is the only thing that can compare in my opinion. For me, Seagal has a very unique screen presence. I agree that he isn't likeable in the way that Roddy and JCVD are. Seagal is something more akin to Charles Bronson or the more nasty roles of Clint Eastwood. A lot of the time he's kind of a bad guy, but he's *OUR* bad guy. He's a force of justice that punishes criminals in the most brutal fashion possible. For some people like myself, that's a lot of fun to watch. I understand why some people dislike Seagal, but I do think he's gotten a lot of unfair flak from people. He's made some mistakes, but so have the rest of us I suppose.

@@MatrixCobretti Agree those are great too, Lone Wolf McQuade is one the best Chuck Norris films. You could include Nighthawks too. That one is from 1981, and is a hidden gem, very underrated. Sly Stallone as an undercover police detective and Rutger Hauer as a terrorist who put bombs on public places. It was like a thriller/action film 👌👍

@@MrFacundo7 Yeah, I agree. Nighthawks is a good, obscure Stallone flick. Rutger Hauer was excellent as always. He was one of my favorite actors; he was capable of being such a strange and threatening screen presence. I think Blade Runner is the greatest sci fi ever made, and I think The Hitcher is certainly one of the best horror movies of all time.

I agree. That's the main reason I didn't include him in this video. Above The Law was his only film in the 80's.

That would be The Punisher (1989) with Dolph Lundgren. I would highly recommend it if you like old-school 80s vigilante and martial arts movies.
