A lot of people are wondering if this is Kim Wilde on the artwork and I think I should answer that yes, it is indeed Kim Wilde with Lady Gaga's face morphed on her lmao I always find these kind of artworks funny in a way, but at the same time they have this wonderful and nostalgic 80s aesthetics that most of my subscribers like. Absolutely no disrespect neither to Kim Wilde (I really really love her and her music, she's definitely one of my inspiration sources) nor Lady Gaga, the artworks are made purely for fun and aesthetics lovers! I would also like to kindly ask Madonna and Lady Gaga fans (or should I say stans?) not to argue in a rude manner on who is better and who is more relatable, cause it really doesn't matter at the end of the day - both are exceptionally talented and inspirational musicians AMIRITE? :) Once again thank you everyone! This was my best friend's most favorite song back when we were in high school during the mid 80s. She died in a car crash while listening to this song in 1988, while driving to a Lady Gaga concert in Phoenix, Arizona. She was voguing while driving and wasn't holding the wheel (never Vogue and drive kids). I was in the car too, but luckily I survived as my shoulder pads that I wore and my giant puffy hair were used as a cushion that saved my shoulders and head from any injuries. Sadly for my friend, she had her hair in a ponytail and insisted on wearing a regular t-shirt that day. This song brings back so many memories. One like=one prayer for my friend Please give me likes, I need to feel validated.

I remember sneaking out of class with my best friend Janet in 86’ junior year to listen to this song on our Walkmans while touching up on our makeup to try and impress Stanley, ah those were good memories. I always preferred gaga over Madonna

I was there when she debuted this song in 1986. She was opening for Erasure and, rumor had it, was dating half of Depeche Mode. She was destined for great things. Then along came grunge and she disappeared like... a ray of light.

i remember when she played it first time onstage in this little club in berlin in ‘84. she said she recorded it like 2 weeks before and that she wasn’t sure if it will be an official release. I was there and nobody knew her back then. and now it is such a hit. Imagine the 80’s without this song. I love how she’s still a legend.
