Also works really well if you have a winch and your stationery to keep the revs up and helps with battery recharge keeping the voltage at 14.4 instead of around 13 (in my experience with a high output alternator). Or for a onboard compressor pump the tires up quicker.
My 1HD-FT has been having some stalling issues, I've only owned it for 3 months so I'm new to how it works. I've heard some people put the hand throttle on to raise the idle when off-road to stop it from stalling, mine is doing it on road though. I'm yet to take it offroad because I'm a Victorian, as you said. It's a 95 model. Thanks for the videos mate, I've been interested in your instrument cluster ones because I have a few globes out. Cheers
I need to get my 70 series throttle looked at. The knob is missing, but also it just does not seem to function, can't get the thing to move with pliers (at least not without putting way more force than you could put on it with a knob, and I'm not gonna force the thing)
My 94 GXL 1FZ- FE does have a throttle lock, and I fairly sure the 95 GXL 1FZ-FE I had also had a throttle lock.No way in hell would I EVER use the throttle lock as cruise control. My foot is the only cruise control I have, and it works fine.
