I doubt you still check this but on the off chance you still do I’d love to talk about how you did this ive got one and would like to do something similar
Although it might look cool for a rat bike open primary is not the best for a Goldwing considering it is an interference motor, last thing you need is for something jank with those timing belts and have them valve slamming up against the Pistons
Man a couple years ago i would have said making a goldwing cool was flat impossible. You killed it. That rear fender is perfect. If You get some time do a walk down of your backbone and how you went about the wiring. Can't seem to find any barebones diagrams for my 80. Awesome work!
How's that open timing belt held up? I'm seeing a bunch of timing belt covers on ebay for fairly cheap, thinking about grabbing a pair and seeing if I can cut big ass holes in them and fit a piece of plexiglass or something to get your look but a bit less sketch haha
I'm assuming that's sarcasm. I'm just saying the tank looks off, probably should have left the original, put the bags on or take the bars off. Otherwise the bike is fine. It's what I'd do.
@@Texassdave Well if I live long enough Im going to try getting a Goldwing strip all the tupperware off of it and do what you did. I always wanted to do this anyway. Thanks for doing this build and putting it on RU-vid to remind me.
@Al Somethin Hey bro, what better place than here and what better time than now? I bought this thing for $350 ...got it running based off of watching RU-vid... and then did everything else in my garage with basic tools… Don’t put any limitations on yourself go make that shit happen!
there a fair bit of work in it. biggest mods were the chopping out the old "tank" and putting a new backbone in so I could run a normal tank and I built a new wiring harness for it.
