The Cantino planisphere, completed by an unknown Portuguese cartographer in 1502, is one of the most precious cartographic documents of all times. It depicts the world, as it became known to the Europeans after the great exploration voyages at the end of the fifteenth and beginning of the sixteenth century to the Americas, Africa and India. It is now kept in the Biblioteca Universitaria Estense, Modena, Italy

Hi Henry - glad to see that you are well and doing well! You are certainly a long way from Iroquois Falls in more ways than one. Very interesting and focused talk. From a fellow “tourist.”

Hello, we are evaluating the history based on instant references which appear objective , imagine the point of view of the future civilization about our actual age , do you think it will call this age , a modern age?

It actually works very good in german too because "Geschichte" means both story and history.

some historian (can't remember who) explained it was called "Dark Ages" because there was so little documentation, no writings, very little information, lack of records, not so much because the quality of life. Might have been Francis Pryor. He doesn't think England was as bad during the dark ages, also called middle ages. We just don't have much data from that time.
