Ring pour
For this ring pour, I used Floetrol, Liquitex pouring medium and water as my pouring medium. I then used 2 parts of this pouring medium to 1 part Liquitex Basics Acrylic paint. Its quite thin. I flicked silicone over the top of my ring pour to create cells.

A toothpick does a good job too. When you see how far a flick goes, it makes you more aware of why the virus spreads when someone coughs or sneezes. The colours look very pretty! I like the colours.

Agreed! I adored where she "over-flicked". Reminds me of the chameleon skin technique I've seen another artist do, but Gilly's is more random & organic. It's fabulous!

Before you flicked, I thought it looked like a rain puddle. After you flicked it was a rain puddle with it raining. I love those cells. Its beautiful! Love the color choices!!!!

This is superb technique of using your finger to spread silicone oil once you are done with the tilting. I love it. Will surely try it out myself as well. Thank you for sharing this idea.

I agree. I rarely get on line to comment as I usually watch on my tv, but felt like I needed to post. With all the media platforms there are MANY that have similar names, sometimes the SAME only using different cap letters . If you haven't trademarked it and you no longer use it, then it is open and free for use by anyone. Especially such a common group name, and it is being used as a group name, not an individual name. I publish under another pen name and there are others whom use variations of my site and pen name after I trademarked and obtained the domain, but no big deal. My work speakers for me. It is a big world and there is room for everyone to make their mark. 😉

The bits with the "over" flicking go from looking like cells to looking like lacing in my opinion, which then kinda spreads out into cells and it looks really pretty.

Yeah, putting it on canvas creates "silicone resistance"! Not fun is it? The same can happen if you don't mix silicone in well with paints, especially on edges...so frustrating!

Oh, I do like this quite a lot! My daughter is the "cell queen" -- never uses silicone but always gets cells. I can literally take the cup she just finished pouring from, pour out the rest of the paint onto a different canvas, and get maybe two cells. Don't know what the difference is. But I'm going to give this a try -- maybe I can give "the cell queen" a run for her money. ;)

Yours is one of the only acrylic pours I've seen done where the artist knows when to stop! Apparently, it's really easy to go overboard, way past the point where an acrylic pour looks its best. I love everything you make. This is beautiful, as always. I ran across the other lady yesterday and to begin with i thought it was you. Didn't take but a few minutes to know it definitely wasn't you. She can't copy your friendly and sweet personality. That just comes naturally. I think it's so cheesy for someone to copy when there's a world full of names to choose from. I actually have done several ring pours with silicone in the paint and I really like them a lot...I’ve got some amazing and cool effects...it was accidental the first time using leftover paint that had silicone in it and I didn’t know but it was so neat that I did it on purpose several times since✌️❤️tfs

I had to level my table the other day by myself also. After several tries, it dawned on me to use my foot to slide the wedge under the leg when I lift the table. Now I have a level table. Happy camper here!
