Just got my 55" LG OLED and installed it today, it was very easy to set up, waked me right thru. The magic remote is AWESOME and the picture is beautiful.

I’ve said this before in one of your other videos, yours is the only unboxing that highly recommended for anyone contemplating getting one of these humongous tvs. Have both you and your partner watch this together so you’re both on the same page and everything will come together with no drama👍👍🤪
Thanks for the video, it was helpful in getting the stand mounted on my 83C2 EVO. A helpful hint, you don't need to put the Styrofoam piece from the back on the floor to raise the TV up, the stand will go on perfectly fine with just the pieces that are on the face of the TV. I also used the front side of the box to help keep the Styrofoam from moving. Doing this I was able to mount the stand by myself (box was on carpet so it wouldn't slide. I will need help to put the TV on my furniture though, it's a beast (not heavy, just too big!)
This is on par with my results with just getting the C2 yesterday. I’ll have a video up on my gaming channel, but the clarity and brightness improvements alone are immediately noticeable over the G1 I had.
Human eye can not make much a distinction between OLED and AMOLED, LED, LCD ... Even between 720p & 1080p ... So 👏 congrats you have just been tricked into being a 🐏

I just got the 65" C2 a few days ago. How is yours so far? I'm absolutely loving it. I swapped it from the LG mini LED QNED85. I'm more of an OLED guy and this TV is insane.
The fact of the matter is, if you're not using your tv for gaming, then the only thing that really matters is setting-up up your tv to display flesh tones correctly. After all, when we all watch tv, we're mostly focusing on the actors and actresses. Hence the reason why flesh tones are really the most important issue.

Just got this TV but in 55 inch. It’s spectacular. I have an 82 inch Samsung in the loft but I always go to the game room to watch the new LG oled now. The picture is incredible.
LG make amazing OLED TVs. Just last week I bought the 65” C1 for $1600 - which is quite a steep discount from the price of C2. Not many differences between the two, other than a faster CPU - which isn’t a big deal if you don’t care about TV apps / smart functionality.

Monster of a TV. I just got the 55 inch yesterday. Still gonna take a while to tweak it to our liking. Love the cable management race way clips that it comes with. It has all the small details perfect.

@@kotim1142 55 is the most common size sold. It’s the best compromise between size and all other things. I’ve a neighbour with a 83 inch, it takes up the entire wall. Too big. 55 is just right. The 42 is a good contender for a pc monitor.

Bought an 83C1 end December at a great discount (4800) and couldn't be happier with it. I believe in fitting the room to the TV so have adjustable blackout blinds on the window at the end of the room where the TV is mounted. I honestly don't understand people saying the C1 (or even the B9 or CX) aren't bright enough! I always set brightness to 50%,contrast pretty high, and then colour calibrate. The C1 is brilliant for both home theatre and 4K HDR gaming at 120 Hz!

@@Esignn Sorry, but I haven't seen a C2. The 83C1 has about a 3mm protruding metal edge profile and then about 5mm of panel surface that isn't utilised. From the sort of distances you should be viewing a TV of this size the edges simply aren't noticeable.

Ouch. You didn't mind spending that much? I cringed when I spent $1800 on my 65 LG C2 but it is absolutely amazing. I'm not returning it. I think my limit at most would be $3k and that's pushing it. LG's 97" G2 is $25,000!!!!!
The Sony A90j last year model is beast for real The color accuracy and the processing power is really good can't wait to see what is Sony cooking this year
Sony is nice but it is 100% fact that LG has the most advanced screens in the entire industry right now. And they have parole very long time. Dad to that, they are also the most colour accurate and the brightest. Sooooo.... Sony all the way? Not so much. Sony is great but not all the way.

Sony has the most advanced display ever, even the Hollywood and tech reviewer use Sony monitor for reference, but lacks funding (and very expensive to manufacture) hinder the tech development for consumer market (that's including Printing OLED, RGB OLED, and MicroLED). And in 2022, Samsung definitely beating off LG with their Quantum OLED, and I'm very sure Sony A90K will be "Tv of the Year" along with Samsung S95B

I just got a 65” C3 few weeks ago, it is better for tv and movies than my B9, but not an insane difference. The difference is small enough that you would be hard pressed to notice a difference on gaming, where no film grain is present. The biggest difference is film grain is way cleaner on the C3, and it’s about 15 to MAYBE 20% brighter? I’d much rather watch tv and movies on my 85” X90K. It’s just a much better experience. The size and massively increased brightness just has way more of a visual impact. The black level and contrast of the X90K is good enough that the C3 does not overtake the X90K’s superiority in the brightness and color department with it’s Oled black levels. The X90K black level would get a solid 7.9/10 from me, where obviously Oled gets 10/10. But then the C3 gets a 6.7/10 for brightness whereas the X90K gets a 10/10. So if adding my “score” for black level and brightness together, X90K gets 17.9/20, and the C3 gets 16.7/20, so that is why the X90K is better IMO.The C3 does have good color, but brightness always enhances the color volume, and woled somewhat dilutes the colors a bit compared to LED or qdoled. I do NOT like qdoled for other reasons though. (Everyone lately has accused woled of being grainy and having a pink tint. My B9 is a little grainy but the C3 is not at all, and it has no pink tint. Everytime I have seen an S95B, S90C and S95C, it has been exceptionally grainy, as well as having an extremely pink tint). According to Rtings the C3 is brighter but they also say my old NU8000 is brighter too. BS! Another reviewer, Toms Guide, rated the X90K at 1,027 nits, rtings said like 784, but then they also said it has effective HDR that pops? 🤔. They rate the C3 at 815 and the NU8000 at 867. Ive watched each tv for countless hours, except the C3, but have watched it enough, that I would truly say the X90K is objectively just about almost 3x brighter than the NU8000. So the NU8000 is either not 876 nits, the X90K is mich brighter than 784 nits, or both of those ratings are wrong. It’s also a solid 50% brighter than the C3. Basically if the brightness could be rated 1-10, or 100-1000, I would rate the NU8000: 3.5/10 or 350/1,000 C3: 6.7/10 or 670/1,000 x90K: 10/10 or 1,000/1,000 B9: 5.7/10 or 570/1,000 X900H: 8.7/10 or 870/1,000 But if I had to take a REAL guess on nits: NU8000: 500 nits B9: 780 nits C3:950 nits X900H: 1,200 nits X90K: 1,400 nits
Can you confirm that the 83 inch panels on the C2 and G2 are using last year’s panel and not the latest panel used in the other sizes? If so, is brightness going to be lower on the 83? I really wanted an 83 inch but am concerned I am paying a premium for older panel tech.
I habe bought the C2 83, last year the evo panel are not avaible for the 83 Inch Edition and i habe wait one year and now it was time, and it's absolut amazing😍
If you have a powerful PC, the C2 is unbeatable. I have a PC with an Nvidia RTX3080Ti. With the LG Game Optimizer enabled and G-sync supported, as well as 120Hz refresh rate, it's just magic.
@@BTheInstaller Yeah man, but seriously the colors on SONY are looking too good to pass it on for C2. Wish they have better gaming implementation over time through Firmware updates or Next year model. But the SONY colors and processing is very rich.
I have a 77" C1, 55" C1, and 55" C9. Extremely happy with all three. The only downside is they can be a little too dark for extremely dark night scenes on the TV. I sometimes have switch to vivid mode for those scenes. I noticed it took around +50 hours of viewing and the picture brightness and sharpness improved compared to right out the box.
How did you think of vacuuming the back of the TV if it's 55 inches 46 inches is already awkward to vacuum it always needs to be vacuumed in between When buying a television should always use common sense should not be crazy Keep in mind that it also needs to be vacuumed the bigger it is the harder it is to vacuum The 46-inch is already at the limit The television collects a lot of dust from the air vents to be vacuumed at Every now and then
Fantastic unboxing , and first impression, yesterday your boys , whisper status, and fomo had a unicorn C2 that was brighter than LG g2 and the A90j panel lottery is something, fomo was trying to sale the c2 being displayed, for Robert from value electronics.
I am looking at acquiring the 83" LG C2, primarily because I game more on my living room tv overall and having those extra HDMI 2.1 ports are nice. I'll be looking forward to the full review and also any specific calibration recommendations so that by the time I can get the TV, I'll be ready right out of the box.

Looks like a really nice tv but the comparison video between the C2 and Samsung’s S95B on Quantum’s channel is definitely making me think about getting a new QD OLED
I'm still sony all the way! I'm either going 77" A80K or 75" X95K. I'm really having a hard time deciding if I want perfect blacks or better color and brightness 🤷🏽♂️.. another great video B!!
@@lort6022 no not really sony is one of the best (in my opinion) on controlling the blooming,halos, there panels are mostly cleaner. Ect... there's always going to be trade offs with any technology.. its a matter of picking your poison.. even QD-OLED is going to have its short comings we just don't know what they are yet!! To early to tell.
Love your vids. I'm a home theater installer as well and enjoy watching. Instead of putting that Styrofoam under the screen you can takd all the blocks off the tv and put it back in the box, take one of the side peices and hold it at the opening of the box and lay the box down. Then lay the tv on top of the box, bring the tv a little over the edge, no wobble and no bending of the tv. It has the film on the tv and I leave the soft cloth wrapped around on the screen. Just a different idea, works both ways, Great video!

We just got an A90j 83” the other day. Wowzers! Watching live sports in HD is insane. I played some games on my PS5 using an HDMI 2.1 and the images are crystal clear & even playing PS4 games on it were much much sharper. We had a Samsung 58” prior to this (now the bedroom TV) and the PS5 didn’t look as clear & crisp as the A90J. I’m happy we got it
@@zacdavis7 TBH, I didn't notice. We did watch the NFL network the night we put it up, it made the Jags & Fins look great ( didn't think it was possible). Their helmets & jerseys really popped. The EPL & USFL games we watched looked good too. All of this while streaming. I'm curious to see what happens when we go back to a cable box & use a 2.1 HDMI cable.
I have the Sony A90J 83 and couldn't be happier! And with the new Yamaha RX-A8A and a 5 1 4 Atmos speaker setup it's just home cinema heaven. I've had Samsung TVs and other goods in past. I found when I had a problem their customer service was disgraceful! Avoid
I am sooo spoiled by Philips's ambilight tech. You can't go back, trust me! Being Greek, Philips was an absolutely beast in Europe for decades, up until 2012, give or take. Their top line ambilight LCDs of the 00s (Aureas and 9xxx Cineos) are amazing 1080p TVs. You guys never got them overseas. Being older models though they don't go larger than 46". Eventually I will upgrade to a larger model than the two 42" Aureas I own and adore but I just do not want to buy a modern Philips because they are subpar. So where does this leave me? I want a true modern ambilight TV. No bulbs, no light strips. Maybe Philips will share its patent with the rest of the world. I mean after 20 years you have to, right? It's almost 20 years since ambilight TV was conceived. Imagive an LG or a SONY with proper ambilight...!
I'm waiting to see the new 807 if and when it is ever released here in Australia. Have you had the chance to see one? I really want to compare it against the C2 but if they don't release it soon I'm just going with the C2 in a 77"
@@GRTakerTh you can always disable it. But it's nice to have it as an option. It also doubles as an ambient light when the TV is turned off. It makes the roon magical.
Was definitely considering the Samsung QDOLED, but they’re having TONS of QC issues, so the C2 is my next tv. Plus, LG has a much better tv with the C2 imo.
@@CooperHolt3318 according to some brand reps I've spoken to, they're having about 60% panel failure. This apparently hasn't plagued Sony's A95k though, so it seems to be a Samsung only issue.

here is the thing there is not bad choice of witch OLED u go for C2 or the next Sony OLED however LG makes all of Sony's OLED panels.SO for me it seems really like not a real need to go with SONY'S OLED tv's at all because LG make em and when it comes to gaming i rather stick with the LG OLED over anyone in the OLED game.

Hey Brandon, thanks for the video. I'm on the fence with what I should do. I just bought a 65" A90J, absolutely love the TV but I'm a heavy gamer and my set is producing really noticeable jaggies on the edges of characters and lettering objects, etc...(almost feels like anti-aliasing is off). Also I feel a very slight delay in competitive play games compared to my LG CX (like on a faceoff in NHL 22 or jump shot timing meter in NBA 22). For a bit more I can return it for a 77" C2, I know I'll be happy with the gaming part but the Sony image is like nothing I've ever seen before. Movies are absolutely gorgeous! Especially if I add a little reality creation....wow! My question is, if I went to the LG C2 after my graphic obsessed eyes witnessed the A90J, would I feel let down, especially going up to 77"? Appreciate your time and work. Keep it coming! I'm so torn what to do and I have 30 days to decide.
@@BTheInstaller When I game, I have to sit close (around 4ft). Will the 77" look worst than a 65" that close when gaming? Only reason I haven't gone bigger is the room is on the smaller side and when I game I have to sit on top of my TV. I've read mixed opinions on pixel density sitting close to your TV. I just don't want things to look worst going up in size (without being able to move further away). I appreciate your help/response. Happy Easter! 🥚

I currently have a 55" Samsung plasma in a room that could really use a bigger set and the 83" would be a great size. There is a lot of ambient light so we want something brighter and based on this video the C2 may have upped the game enough. Where I am torn is that Best Buy has the 83" A90J for $5500 which is what the C2 will be going for. I love the picture quality of the Sony but I have not seen the C2 in person yet. If I go with C2, I could pick it up at Costco, once they have it, and get their better warranty (especially if they throw in the extended warranty for free as they are with the C1). I guess I should just wait for Best Buy to carry both so that I can see them next to each other. Since Sony is not replacing the A90J this year there is not a rush to jump on a deal like the LG C1s. When I saw the C1 next to the A90J at Best Buy there was not a comparison but maybe the C2 will surprise me. I wish Costco carried the A90J and not just the A80J so that I didn't need to deal with Best Buy. That and the lack of multiple HDMI 2.1 inputs are my biggest hang ups in going with the Sony but I only have a Series X at the moment so lack of 2.1 inputs are not a big deal...yet. Well the good thing, and bad thing, with technology is that there is always something better around the corner so I'll just keep watching this channel until I am ready to pull the trigger.
