Hey Boy860, I purchased them of TC Bros Choppers .com they are universal controls I had to fab a bar that mounts right under the engine where the highways/stock pedals all hooked up and then got the bar machined so the controls screw right into them and had to cut down my existing brake pedal for link and reversed my shift linkage to make them work , if that makes sense :) I can post a vid if you like!

Did you buy a extended wire kit for the starter switch and head lights? If so where did you get it? Or did you extend them your self?
@soulsikk2011
@soulsikk2011 10 лет назад
extended them myself took forever but worth it . Saves a lot of $$ and I like to do most of the work my self

I can't really tell, but are those pipes baffled or is it straight piped? And if so what size jets did you have to run? I'm thinking about removing the baffles out of my drag pipes.
@soulsikk2011
@soulsikk2011 10 лет назад
Sorry for late reply but yes they are baffled but they can be removed easy , also I'm still figuring out the jets at moment but will let you know once I get back to riding its been awhile .

@soulsikk2011 9 лет назад
the carb kit was around 800 shipped to canada and the exhaust was 210 Slash cut cobras I paid 1300 for the bike safe to say I've put prob close to 1300 been trying to keep it as much low budget as possible you can get the 2into1 manifold and carb from KJS manifold , everything else just took time did lots or research and found ways to make it work out , check virago forums and some guys made a template for forward controls i changed a bit up , oh and the pegs I bought aftermarket i believe they were 80 and thank you I love this bike still have lots to do that I want but in time next year ill have it done i hope ill make new videos and describe more after winter here . Do you have one?
@xXVegetaXx

Yea I have a 1982 virago 750 with only 10000 miles on it all stock I'm trying to make it a bobber and so far your virago is the best one I've seen I would like to make it just like yours btw my virago is also matte gray but I'm thinking of painting not sure yet

Emiliano Zapata THANKS, ya its fun to mess around I latterly have no idea what I was doing just youtubed a lot and researched and went in cutting double checking and making sure it wouldn't effect my safety I also lowered it 1inch when I made it a hard tail , the seat is original I just cut it and shaved then took it to get upholstered
@soulsikk2011
@soulsikk2011 9 лет назад

soulsikk2011 You are right only the bikes imported to the US were 700s. They are quite common here. my first bike was an 84 700.

+Soulsikk I love it. I might do that to my xv750 as I'm trying to turn mine into a bobber. could you give me any tips?
@soulsikk2011
@soulsikk2011 8 лет назад
+biteme nice, we'll I just looked at alot of videos of bobber and just hit up alot of virago forums and found some ideas then went from there, I chopped what I could on low budget with out jeopardizeing safety. I wanted to use as much original parts as I could to keep it still looking like a virago. So just fined the style you like and go for it.
