Yes look for a pyramid, or a odd rock or crystal shaped thing used as a paper weight, or even a mold of small little bits like hearts, flowers or butterflies, etc., you could use then as pretty little magnets? These are beautiful by the way!

Primary elements is mainly for acrylic, not all of them will mix well in resin. However Colour Arte who makes primary elements also has a resin line, Rezin Arte, and WOW are they GORGEOUS, plus they just melt into you resin so easily and make amazing effects. The bling it line by colour arte work beautifully in both acrylic and resin. You can also order from several Australian based companies like Just Resin, Le Rez, and Color Passion. They all make fantastic products. I hope this helps you in your resin journey, I know it helped me when people were willing to share, tips, tricks, and product information.

A couple of tips...to see the true beauty of the colour arte pigments you should use the “resin arte” pigments that are made for resin. The primary elements are specifically designed to be used in acrylics...( if you mix a little of the hot cinnamon primary elements pigment in some acrylic medium you will see the true colour )...although some of them will dissolve many of them don’t. When the resin gets hot it is on the verge of kicking off and becoming unworkable. This reaction is sped up if you leave your resin in a large container so good idea to split your resin into smaller containers which you did.

Be careful with the Primary Elements, some of them don't mix with resin. That's why you have the speckles of color, these should be opaque. ColourArte does have a resin line of pigments that are beautiful. You'll get much better results with those. Also, you can drag your stick through the resin to bring lines of colors into other colors. Not meaning to be bossy, just seeing you do things that I ran into when I first started playing with resin. And less is more with the pigment colors.

Hi Julie, Along the way I picked a few tips about resin... don't stir it fast because u will get more bubbles than u would if u stirred slowly. It gets airy like a meringue. Also, try not to stir with a wooden stick because the wood can also bring air bubbles into the epoxy. Im no pro, just hoping these tidbits help ya

They are suppose to bring healing and other positive waves. Keep them close by when your creating. Smokey quartz brings all kinds of good stuff into your life. Enjoy your coasters. XX

Julie, BEFORE you take the molds out after 12 hours, dome the top with clear resin so you don't get that lip, then let cure another 12 hours. It's easier to dome while still in the mold. Then unmold after the second 12 hours of curing. Resin ALWAYS shrinks while curing.

Julie, here's another bit of info for ya. The fine mica powders you're using, have you noticed some floating in the air,the minute flakes will get in your throat, sinus' and lungs. It's a very good idea to have a face covering while your mica is in the powder form. Once mixed no worries. It is VERY irritating in the lungs. Be safe.

Cool! I think the round one looks different because you didn’t pour any clear into it. I don’t think you used too little powder - you poured quite a lot of clear in the set of four, hence the transparency.

Yes resin gets warm for the chemical reaction that makes it harden. So the warmer it gets the less time you have to work it. I’m definitely no chemist but that’s my understanding lol

Very pretty, but if it was mine I wouldn’t want that big blob of gold in the center. I’d rather have it more dispersed. Just one person’s opinion. Could you pour water into the molds and measure it to see how much resin you need? I’ve never done this, so I have no idea...

They aren’t dissolving because you are using the wrong product. Primary elements are water based acrylic paints without binder they aren’t just mica powder. They aren’t meant for resin so be careful how much you add. Some of them won’t blend with the resin at all and you may get clumps. Colour Arte actually does specific colours for resin called ResinArte. Though their bling it line works in anything. Also they closed in so fast because your resin is thinner
