Lemme just say Frank Langella as live Action Skeletor was pretty bad ass 😊 yes people Keldor is in fact Prince Adam's Evil Uncle who is always after All The Powers of Greyskull
He-man was a massive part of my childhood. There's been a few deep dives into some of the characters done by other members of the MV team. I've said this before, even though these longer videos probably get less views, I'm glad you do so many of them. You have a much more pleasant voice to listen to. Authoritative, yet fun and enthusiastic.
Dreamworks Horde Prime will be my favorite. His cult is a great look into how philosophies revolved around an unrealistic obsession with purity and perfectionism is so destructive and his taunting of Adora when she knows she wants to live and have a happy life with what she wants is one of the most sadistic things a MotU villain has done in a story.
You included Grok the troll, who later helped she ra and Co fight off the crystal spider, I did not see Kothos who tried to steal the fountain, and was turned into a sand slug by Evil-lyn, but came back and gave up on revenge, on Evil - lyn.
@@MantraX049Gold? The original was a show to sell toys. No character development at all. No continuity. And the star was Skeletor. I'm not sure how the new one was worse than that in fairness.
@@killbotone6210 You are missing the point. The gold is entire franchise up to a Kevin Smith's disaster. It contains a collection of comics, minicomics, original cartoon, 1990s cartoon, 2000s cartoon, feature movie, original toyline, 1990s toyline, 200X one, Classics toyline and the Origins one. All that is a huge heritage. And Kevin Smith set to destroy it.
for context, some of the stuff varies from continuity to continuity. Whiplash for example has an ambigous backstory in the 80s while the 2002 version gave him the caligar name, his personality was also different, the 02 version being noticably dumber, same with clawful just even more apparant, Merman is based off of waspinator from beast wars in terms of voice and luck in the 2002 version, all other incarnations are different, with the 2021 version being somewhat heroic and well intentioned, and the revelation version caring more about his kingdom. Trap Jaw takes on traits from tri klops (namely the scientist part) in the 2021 series, with the 80s and 2002 being more in line with a thug who will backstab you at the nearest possible time, his debut in the minicomics has him be a dimensional prisoner who manages to temporarily wield the power of greyskull before being forced to serve skeletor. Two bads origin in 2002 is that he was once two bounty hunters, tuvar and baddra, tuvar was the brains, baddrah was the brawn, very good at their job, they just had one weakness, they hated each other. Due to fighting against each other during their tussle with he man, they were fused as punishment, a later episode had them try to split themselves up, unfortunatly the spell of seperation could destroy the planet, they got close though so they can do well if they work together, 02 also gave them a more asymetrical design, note how the chestpiece and the loincloth are also split, a sign they were once individuals. Ironically in the motu/injustice crossover, they did get free from each other, by supergirl ripping them in half, cant win them all
He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe was great. I watched the original cartoon, collected some of the toys and saw the Dolph Lungren movie...and it was _still_ better than that Kevin Smith abomination.
It's a shame the book New Hero of Eternia isn't canon, it tells of Marlena Glenn, Evelyn Powers , Biff Beastman and Dr. Scope all fall to different sides of Eternia, one becoming a queen and the others became Evil-Lyn, Beastman and Tri-Klops!!!!
🤔 I don't know, I'm not an expert... But... I think there are some minor characters which didn't make it to your list. 🤔 😬 Now.. It's a lot of characters anyways.. I did fancy the snake men 200x series, I wanted king hiss which vintage figure I have to be animated 👋👍
