Simply have the Lingenfelter Upgrade. That brought mine to 642 on the Dino. They replace the Stator, Belt, New Cog for the Supercharger, and they must Re-port the input and exits of the Air Flow. Beyond this you will need to get Larger injectors, and a Total New Dino Tuned Engine. This will mean running more Boost. Around 15 Max.
Great video. You had me right up to the point where you shut off the ac to cool the charger. You must be in Alaska. I am in Florida. Air conditioning is more important than oxygen. Thank you for the video.
@@CarWars should I get c6 grand sport or v2 ctsv? Plan on supercharging if getting c6. But would also want to build the ctsv a little bit if I went that route. I was told you can draw nearly 100 more hp over stock from the ctsv for under a grand. The not being able to swap out the stock stereo head unit easily on ctsv is a huge drawback for me though. Just me and my girl, no kids. . C6 with magnetic ride control or ctsv?
Loved the video of your car. I have a 2012 CTSV that is stock other than a cool intake upgrade. I wish I had someone in the NY (queens) area that could help build my car like yours. Completely bad ass sleeper. Unfortunately i am now disabled and unable to do anything mechanical anymore. ((It would be an awesome video as well) Godspeed my friend
I know a very reputable mechanic about 5 hours away. He’s passionate and only builds things properly. I think “pitbull garage” is in Nyc he seems legit.
Car looks and preforms great! One question I have is when you're at the track and you're using the AC to cool your brick doesn't your evap leak condition on the track? The reason I ask is the track I used to run at said "do not" run your AC as it will drip on the track which could cause an accident.
+He went *WAY* above and beyond for the mods he has, all the mods he has outside the block can be ran on the Stock LSA bottom end with no issues (technically speaking). The engine he has is built for 1k+ RWHP, he's running a mild upper pulley (2.55) and could easily run far smaller. The killer chiller is a nice addition but not needed (Trunk tank is generally just as good performance for a 1/4 of the cost). Most of the mods he has, if not ALL the mods he has you can (generally) safely run on a stock LSA block.
Looks like i stumbled on your show A bit late but i like what you have going on & your many good ideas & i need all the good advise i can get ,i have A '05 V that i gone thru 10 years ago now im fired up again & pulling it out the closet it has 402 cid Patriot heads ,cam, 2300 supercharger ,kook headers ect. 6 speed auto Hughs Trans & 9" ford irs with 4:56 gears & A one piece Alum. drive shaft , & has alcohol injector , dyno at 670rwhp , nothing compared to yours !
Thank you for the video bro all the best for you from KSA 🇸🇦 I’m wondering if I can get some advices from you I have a v2 also with some build on it, hit me up if we can get connected. Many thanks brother
Hey, bro thanks for these videos that’s really cool as a V2 owner to see this stuff about our cars .... My 13V is stock, and I wanted to run e85 can you point me in the right direction as a DIY? Also talked about supporting mods for cooling and the catch can, should I start with these?
What Supercharger pulley do I need, and what Balancer pulley do I need? And the belt to go with this combo. Love your car, just got a stock 2013 Coupe CTS V. also What Thermostat, and is there a Programing Set up for just these changes, Thanks Dan
I like your CTS V I like things upgrades you did to your car. I plan on doing about the same thing your videos been inspirational thanks for sharing. I have 2011 Cts v coupe
To be honest the cut outs are just show, when we were on the dyno we didn't pick up any power. But yeah the the pump is T'd in but it's T'd in by the fuel tank
Retro Zoe same HP, u just dont have to worry bout ur sbe, you are set for whatever u throw at it. Money wise ur looking at parts alone close to 8k and idk bout labor, i do my own work
Okay so I have a 2014 cts v bone stock 44,000 miles I raced a fbo 850hp hell cat I get him on the go no matter if it's dig or a roll at 100mph he catches me and at around 110-115mph it's bye bye lol he gets me about 2 cars at around 140-160mph do u think if I do fbo and drag pack I could beat the hell cat or should I just sell my V and buy 18-19 mustang and go with a Paxton s/c ???????? Thanks in advance!
Hi brother pretty cts v, I buy one 2009 one week a go... If do u can tell me what brand is ur headers and x pipe?? i want nice sound, please let me know Thanks
What size belt (or part number) for the supercharger belt drive? Similarly, I’m running the 2.55 upper and 9.55 lower (along with the 100mm and 50mm idlers). Thanks in advance!
Great video vey detailed an in-depth. Did you do all your mods yourself? What was the cost for everything if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking at buying a CTS V Gen 2 this year and I want to know the price range of the mods so I can get them done right and last a long time.
I did a lot of the work my self, some of the stuff like porting I sent out but if you go for a package like mine ur looking close to 25k-30k if u have a shop do it
U can do light mods that aren't all that expensive like couple hundred for an intake, $700 or so for a cam (with out labor), hundred something for pulley and couple hundred on tune depends who u use
Nathan Hensley oh lol I'm supposed to be getting 15-16 psi according to the pulley setup I have, I use the stock gauge to look at boost and it's not the most accurate thing out there. But I got the Dedicated Motorsports Flex Fuel Sensor
The reason why I ask is because in the stock rocker arms has those needle bearings .... looks to me with high horse power engines if one would dry up needle bearings will get into your oil that would be very damaging they have a kit looks to be better and safer check out Steve's Morrises engines he did a video on it....
david pereira according do my pulley setup I should be at 15-16, I have a stock gauge and that's what it points to. I paid $1225 for porting of the heads, they had to replace a runner, porting of the throttle body, and shipping. It was kinda like a package deal so I don't remember exactly how much just the heads were
I got a "killer chiller" it's from a guy online, I don't wanna share the website with u because to be honest I would say don't use this guys product, the guy is hard to deal with and his product is really hard to make work properly, I actually took it off my car. There is a company that sells "forced interchillers" there out of Australia I heard their product works a lot better but they are around $2k I believe for the kit.
@@CarWars Car Wars thanks alot for the reply, and yes I heard of them, I'll reach out to them, I have a coupe with 37k on it. wasnt trying to rebuild motor, but would love to get at least 6xx to the wheels, any tips? was thinking Texas speed headers and x pipe, 2.50/9.1 pully, cam, injectors. and a tune, lmk if I'm missing something lol
@@CarWars last question should I just do the lower pully, and cam while i do the 160° thermostat because there in the same location? trying to avoid getting charged twice lol
@@jonwavy6242 yeah it should save you some money if you do at the same time but the labor for the cam and pulley is going to add on a good bit cuz it's a good bit of work
the idler pulleys aren't really necessary. Correct belt length fixes that(not saying yours is not correct). The manley oil pump is nice but a ported stock oil pump does the same. ZL1 lid still has yet to be "proven" as better than a stock lid. Our builds are similar tho... One of GP Tuning stage 2.5 cam, ZR1 IC pump, 2.4/8.6 pulley combo. Not running external fuel pump either, IDC is pretty good where my tuner didn't think we need it at this point. NGK BRF7 spark plugs. , we have same injectors. My god brother is in Spartanburg... maybe we can hook up when i come down.
Gavin Davis oh well yeah some of the stuff I put on just to be on the safe side but the zl1 lid I really like how it looks and my original brick went bad (some of the cooling fins started falling out) so I got the lid but they say it flows better because it's taller. But yeah I go to cars and coffee and drag from time to time so if u in town come on over
This is going to be my next car was wondering the price to make this kind of power and if auto or manual will play a factor or transmission running this kind of power
Blake Santiago ok well depends if you will get a shop to do all the work or you can do stuff your self, my setup is about $26k, that's not including labor on part of the build. If you go to these numbers it's really nice to have auto because you run a smaller risk of miss shifting or anything else you can do to mess things up, also with auto you will be faster.
Really informative! I'm also planning on trading in the STI and getting a V. It's a fun daily driver, but I'm feeling like leveling up... wont be till next year though (cant have it stock, feel like I'd just be upset until its modded) but making plans! +1 on the sub Bro!
Hey I’m curious how much power can I make with it until i need to really change things out. I’m getting a 2.4 pulley DW900 LS injectors and 340pound fuel pump, and going to e85 tune. But I know that’s only 650hp on the good day. I want to know if there are better routs to get easy power, more power. But not nitrous :/. Thanks
Danyyil Tkachenko if I was you I'd go on this link and use the info of what they do. Check out the packages and ull see what parts you need for how much HP vengeanceracing.net/packages-ctsv2.html
Steve Burdett oh nice! Might meet you at cars an coffee if you go but yeah cooling mods make a difference, I was running a different HX pump and it kept glitching but once I went to the Verimax I saw a big difference but to be honest I'd go bigger
I have cutouts on my 2014 CTSV coupe, my button to open the cutouts in on the drivers seat in front of my recaro seat adjusters. It take 4 seconds holding my button down for the cutouts to open or close fully. I can adjust my sound level to 5 different sound levels depending how long I keep the button engaged. It works well, I was tired of all the power I had but my car sounded very quite, not now if I wanted to, I could wake our neighborhood up....lol
