Sarah and Fred are trivia quiz nerds who have been doing trivia nights in Paris for years and now have a new trivia-themed podcast. In this episode we get together to discuss trivia quizzing, and to quiz each other with our own trivia questions. In this first part we get to know Sarah and Fred again, talk about their new podcast and then Sarah quizzes me with some cleverly-written questions. Can you understand and answer the questions? The quizzing continues in part 2.

Неllo, Luke, sorry to say but I cannot understand and follow your podcast as it has become too complicated to me. I tried to listen to it again and again all in vain, unfortunately. Thus, I could not feel any content after. Are Your podcasts still intended for English learners or native speakers? I have lost time and selfcontrol trying to understand just the main core: bad sound, induvidual peculiarities of articulation, weird conversation, too fast native speech, etc. Sorry for my comment, but maybe it will help some other listerners.😢

Well, it’s a pity to read this comment. I am sorry that you have not been able to understand and enjoy my episodes. I guess ultimately they’re not for you. I always try to provide a mix of subjects, episode types and levels of challenge for my listeners. This was definitely one of the more challenging episodes. Good luck with your English learning journey and I hope you find listening material that is more suited to your tastes and your level. You could try early episodes from my archive. You might find them more appropriate for you -> www.teacherluke.co.uk/episodes Otherwise, farewell and all the best 👋

I certainly prefer entire episode without any dividing. For my usual style of listening it obviously much better. I don't need to catch every part of episode separately, i can simply enjoy listening without need to do any actions with my phone more. It is especially convenient when I am out in this cold winter season

Luke, is your accent modern RP? would you please make a video about how to identify different British accents? because I think it's important to just focus on a specific accent among British accents If we want to learn one. so for those who are learning modern RP I think it would be helpful to know which podcast creators have this accent.

As always, I learned a lot from you Luke and your wonderful guests Sarah and Fred. Trivia Quizzes seem like great fun. Luke, you did a great job solving this masterfully complex Sarah puzzle. I'm looking forward to the sequel and more quiz questions :) Luke, it's nice of you to have part two of this episode available later this week. If you split long episodes into two parts, don't make us wait a whole week for the sequel, please😊

Well, I prefer the long episodes divided into two parts, because it's easier to listen to during my workout at the gym, and for my compression too, both with expanding my vocabulary, picking up new words, as well as understanding the general context of the conversation. This episodie was very funny, great for listeing and excelent to my learning.

I prefer a long episode to be divided into two shorter parts as long as it makes sense. I mean, like you did this time (their questions and then yours)

Hello, master Luke. There are pros and cons. I would prefer two or three parts (like episode with Chat Gpt or like this with quizzes), but with special (!) guests (sorry if I offended someone) like James or Kate 'top of Billington" or Paul& Amber... Well it's like music to my ears. Even if I am very bad in speaking skills listening them is a pleasure. Thanks for the brand new episode and good luck.

I'm a regular listener since 2014. This 857 episode was very entertaining. Some parts of the talk were too fast to be correctly catched for me. Maybe too much American English with words contraction and some slang. Luckily enough the captioning was on. Thank you Luke for you quick explanations when spoken phrases were tricky for a second language listener.

Hi everyone, Personally, I prefer one single long episode, mainly cause I find it really frustrating when an episode is devided in two parts ! 😅 But also because, even within 2 or 3 days, you can forget a part of the first episode. But whatever you decide, I'll go on listening and watching your videos ! It helps me to improve my English, after so many years without practicing it. I could even say too many years... Time passes by so fast, doesn't it? Anyway, see you and take good care!
