I am an Indian living in Kerala State, India. Malayalam is my mother tongue. I love English and want to learn it. Through your videos I think I can learn English, especially the spoken one. Nobody speaks English here. Everybody speaks Malayalam only. Your videos are the only source I can rely on to learn English. Thanks for your nice videos Thomas V. A. from Kerala State, India.
Learn english with humour IS a very good idea, it IS likely that the brain would like to repeat the jokes, thus the mind will remember better? In making an effort to tell the joke to a Friend. Good also because learning IS sometimes annoying , with some jokes it Can trigger us some smile
About the 38. Czech mate. It also sounds like “шах и мат” in Russian and may be in Czech it sounds the same way. So it seems more deep joke, like it has two levels 😊 «шах и мат» means complete victory. And chess is called «шахматы» in Russian. So this name consists of those two words

Hi Luke! Thanks for this episode! Episodes full of jokes and you explaining them are among my favourites. I got most of the jokes without you explaining them, but not all of them. Some of them were funny, others not.
A man told his friends that he stayed in the cheapest Five-star hotel. Because there was a big hole in his bed facing the ceiling. You can see five stars from the bed at night
