LOL Hey good morning TLM. A few folks have asked that in the past too. I'm thinking perhaps I will need to put the camera on time lapse for that one. LOL. Reminds me of watching Red Fisher when I was a kid. Am I becoming Red? :)) Have a good one and thanks for watching!

You should piles those rocks on each side of your gate posts out on the concession road, It might help keep someone out of your property when you're not there.

Nice work GP. Wow, even though you said there were a lot of rocks I realized as you went on that you have a few nice sized rocks of which you created a sizable rock wall. Nice work on that tractor. Some good looking top soil there. The lawn is coming along just fine. Thumbs up.

Can't tell you how much I truly enjoy watching your videos. Your operation of Ontario is stunning, not to mention the great lake views! Here in NJ it's rather flat. If you can get some Zoysia grass plugs, give them a try they'll spread out over years and give you a beautiful thick grass carpet. Only draw back is the grass dies off in winter, but not to worry it'll return in the spring better then before. Keep Up the great videos!

GP this is a very nice place you have. So much efforts has paid off. I see you throwing rocks in your bucket and I did remember the feeling of it... about noise. When you think of it, the bucket is pretty much shaped as a speaker, amplifying the noise, directed toward you! Now that you have this checked off the chores list, I bet you've got more added at the bottom of the list. Isn't it? Thanks!
@GPOutdoors

So true Joe! You check off the top of the list while you add to the bottom. The trick is one day being able to check off more than you add. LOL! Not sure I will see that day. Thanks and all the best!

Nice job! I'll be doing a similar job on my lawn next spring. We're building a rock wall with the boulders/rocks I've been picking up from around our property and the ones I've been digging from the yard and driveway and I've been driving across my lawn to the wall location. So that's why I'll be waiting until spring.

GP i forgot to mention, my granddaddy used to use a spike tooth harrow in his garden. The only difference was he used horses to pull the harrow. I use to follow along after him while he worked. This was many years ago. He passed away in 1968 at 70 years old. Those were some good memories i was only 8 when he died. Glad things has changed over the generations.

GP a another way to help compact your soil is to Use a loaded bucket to back grade, the weight of the bucket with the load on it will tend to compact the dirt.

Wow. Lot of rocks up north! I’m almost jealous. You have an excuse for a grapple. All we have in my part of the state is trees. Hopefully bringing home a much needed ballast box sometime in the next week, which I’m very excited for. I’m hoping it will make plowing a lot easier and give me a little bit more traction. What’s your hour meter sitting at right now? I think I’m at 44.8 now. Makes me sad that it sits idle so much during the summer, but it’s better than renting one. Nice to have a machine that I can hop on and go to work with in the morning the same day I decide to do a project. I have a feeling with deer season coming up and days getting shorter I’m not going to get to put down any rock on the driveway this year, but there’s still a small chance. We bought a 2007 Arctic Cat 400 automatic too, (pretty mint, only 700 miles on it) and I’m clearing my atv trail back into my property further every day so maybe I’ll put something up about that too. Good to see you again. Haven’t gotten to watch every video, been pretty busy lately but I’m hoping to catch up. Hope you’ve got that blower ready to go, only a couple of months at the most at this point, maybe even sooner. Scary to think about, but at least I can bust out my skis! I’ll see you in the next one my friend! Cheers!
@GPOutdoors
@GPOutdoors 6 лет назад
Hey good day Jackson. Good to hear from you. Congrats on the Arctic Cat! Should be great for the winter. I need to get the sleds prepped soon before it gets much colder. One fo the forecasts is suggesting we are going to see snow here in October so a little nervous about that but stay tuned. The ballast box will get you better traction for sure so good call on that. Should help a lot come winter. Be well and glad you are busy!! Cheers!

Looking Good GP... I hate that sound when you are mowing the lawn and they find a rock that you didn’t see... In the Adirondacks we don’t call them rocks but Adirondack Potatoes, cause they keep popping out of the ground...Chief {NYS/ADK}

Come spring time, lots of grass to cut. How's the ice fishing on the lake?
@GPOutdoors
@GPOutdoors 6 лет назад
Hey Mike. I hope so (fingers crossed). The fishing is apparently quite good. I don't fish much anymore but come winter there are always at least 3 huts out there all winter long, once the lake freezes thick enough, so it must be pretty good. Many come in for the weekend and out again from the government dock as well. So I guess it must be pretty good. Take care!

I know you love your little tractor, and I have been a professional equipment operator for 30 years. It pains me to see someone that make so much work for themselves. I know it takes time to learn how to operate a loader and I hope you figure things out. You bought a tractor to do the work for you. Find someone to teach you how to make that loader work better for you. Your doing manual labor that your loader should be doing.

I'm a big fan of my ratchet rake, I particularly like that it's removable and requires no drilling of the bucket (us guys still under warranty cringe at such a thought, lol). It also stores well since it takes up little space and is pretty much just a single (HEAVY) piece of metal.
@GPOutdoors
@GPOutdoors 6 лет назад
Hey yes I saw you using that - no issues Joe? Stays put and doesn't come off at all?
@FromSteelToWood
@FromSteelToWood 6 лет назад
Joe, I read your mention about warranty... Mine is quite finished, as you may know! I invite you to take a quick look at my next video (coming up) and see what I did to my dirt bucket!!! I must say the rake is an interesting device and saw very good results in your previous videos.
@JoeSoslick
@JoeSoslick 6 лет назад
no issues at all so far, and I've probably used it for 10 or so hours. I didn't need to adjust it or anything while using, and am pretty impressed by it. I watched you dig on that rock and it made MY back hurt, lol. I know for sure the ratchet rake would help you dig those out and keep you on the tractor instead of in the dirt, no problem. Then you can use it to grade the dirt back how you want it, and it looks great. I'm definitely a ratchet rake fan!
