Every truck I ever had, I eventually had to jump some kind of sensor wire. Most often it was a low pressure switch on an AC compressor but a few times it was temp sensors that either wouldnt allow my fan to kick on, or off. good piece of wire to keep handy!
Lol it's got the low pressure switch so it dont burn the compressor up when its low on freon. I cannot stand when idiots fool with the ac. Got every switch jumped and results in a burnt up compressor because it doesnt turn on and off when it's supposed to then yall get mad because the bill to get your shit fixed right costs 1200 bucks. When the compressor makes the system black it will never be right again without changing every peice the freon flows
Awesome dude thanks for the info 👍 I have a 1990 K5 blazer and the engine was down shifting out of overdrive and the service engine light would come on and go out quickly but after I replaced that sensor all is good 🤞🏻
My truck is also a 90 with a 350 and also seems to go up and down from overdrive around 55 60 . Did your truck ever hesitate or stumble when try to gas it around that speed
@@IsaiasMoreno. yeah I changed the throttle body sensor and it helped a little but found out after I had the transmission rebuilt that it was the transmission shift sensor..🙄🤔
I wish I had my manual handy. Sounds like it’s an ignition problem shorting to ground. What about the ignition module? Sure hate to start throwing parts and money at it without some guidance as to the possible causes
I have code 15 on my 92 chevy silverado c1500 5.7l I changed both engine coolant sensor it fixed the problem but now I just had engine code 15 again should I change my thermostat?
@@JustPlainCommonSense yeah I cleared Code came back and swapped the other out. Now when changing the thermostat I accidently broke my bolt on the left side 🙃 I got an extractor and that broke inside stuck now I can't drive it lol I'm at a loss for now
Hey man so I have a 89 k2500 that runs but when it warms up it starts to die out at idle. I've replaced plugs, wires, TBI, computer, erg sol. Erg valve and I'm about out of ideas. U got any?
I have a Chevy Cheyenne c1500 and says only code 12, it stalls when it's warmed up, I've changed pcv fuel filter, thermostat, radiator cap, idk what is wrong
Yes. This does work for your truck. I have a 1992. OBD2 came out in 1996. Code 12 Means everything is ok. That doesn't necessarily mean all of your sensors are good though.....
Got a 89 GMC and it has not started since I guess it got hot. Od it thinks it's hot. High buzzing sound and when I turn the key the hot light comes on.
19MM Deep socket works too. lol mine is a 91 it doesn't have that brace they changed to aluminum accessory brackets by the time my truck was made tons of room now lol.
whats happening is the o2 sensor is not being commanded because the computer is staying in open loop operation so it continues to stay in fuel enrichment warm up mode.back in the day we thought these trucks were complicated, now they seem easy compared to the crap out there now/ in 10 years these trucks will command big bucks, they are already skyrocketing in value, like the c10 c20s.
