They would be contracted to not drive anything else unless their team boss ok’s it. Multi million dollar contracts here fellas. I’m sure they’d all love to drive and ride other things but they wouldn’t be allowed to just go and do it.
Awesome! This pretty much confirms what I found when testing in forza 7. They are pretty even in the corners, but the Nascar stock car just has so much more power leaving corners that it is faster. Pretty cool that a game is able to represent them that closely.
@Nic B If you look closely I never say that the game is realistic, I said it's pretty cool that it was close enough where the same result happened in the game. Guess reading isn't people's specialty these days.
the modern cars would be a different story and not to mention 2 drivers that are series regulars in both cars. i think the supercar would have a much greater advantage thru the corners. but yes the Nascars are much faster in the straight. another thing to note would be the tires, if they ran the actual series tires the Nascar one would drop off much quicker and the supercar would be able to go fater for longer
She’d be a white knuckle ride around Bathurst in one of those 🤣 We did have a NASCAR/ Auscar series here for a while but it went the way of the dodo along with truck racing and so many other categories 😭
@@yeingsterable IT wasn't but was specifically made for road courses. NASCAR Road Course cars are COMPLETELY different than the oval cars. The entire chassis is symmetrical and weight balance is even on all corners. Where as oval cars chassis are kicked to one side with tons of weight on the left side.
@@CAMELOT331 You're aware ballast can be moved, right? Cup cars use a symmetrical chassis, they're not like Super Late Models and we're not still in the 'twisted sister' era.
Looks like the Falcon can get on the power earlier, and the Fusion steers from the rear a bit as power gets fed in, and has the legs at the top end of the straights, but any mistakes and the Falcon's right there in the mirror under brakes. A more handling based track would have the Falcon disappear down the road, while a power track would have the NASCAR leading.

That didn't look like a legit V8 supercar or had a poor driver in it as on the track you are going around a V8 supercargo would smack a Nascar due to braking and cornering speed. Nice sounds though
NASCAR also race on circuits. They setup the car depending on the track. Remember NASCAR’s are technically quicker then formula one in terms of shear power
@@theearthrexden I am aware of that but on that track a V8 supercars braking and cornering ability far outways the power delivery difference. I have seen myself the difference on the Australian F1 track at Albert Park where I was standing fence side near turn 4 and the V8 supercars speed through there made the Nascars look slow but that was back quite some time ago around 2000
@@4x4andfishing Not True. The Cup car has a live axle. With the Torque arm and Panhard rod with Cambered rear axles it is every bit as good as the V8 Supercar. The ignorance that a live axle cannot be made to handle is common thinking. A live axle will put the power down better than an independent axle set up. In other words better center off the corner. On a rough surface an independent rear assembly will be better. The biggest issue with a Cup car is weight. No matter what you hear the Cup car is still a design after a street car from the 1960’s. The ignorance and hate towards the current cup cars is based on lack of engineering knowledge. No matter how you twist, manipulate or just plain lie about it the Cup Car is a race car that takes a lot of talent to drive. No F1 driver has ever won a race in NASCAR on an Oval track. There has been 5 American drivers that won in NASCAR and Indy that have won in Europe in F1. Time to recognize NASCAR to be just as professional as F1, Supercar V8, Endurance racing and Sports car racing. The costs just are not as Vulgar as F1. Money does not buy talent.
@@dohcsmr1175 what are you on about, I have seen Nascar and V8 supercars live and on a smaller track with lots of corners the V8 supercars handles better and has more corner speed, but if there are bigger straights the extra horsepower comes into play from the nascar. On an oval track the V8 super wouldn't stand a chance and oval track driving is another beast altogether. Marcus Ambrose kicked arse on the Nascar flat tracks due to being in the V8 supercars when they still had a solid rear end and being a gun driver in those cars. I'm talking that gen car. The next generation Nascars will prob be similar to V8 supercars but bigger track size. I'm quite aware of suspension adjustments as I used to do wheel alignments for a living and on some race cars to.
Should have had Marcos Ambrose in the Supercar , as he came from that series and came over to race in Nascar ......The Supercar had a terrible race set-up as it was all over the track and the driver was fighting with it the whole video ......

I love hearing stock cars ripping around on courses where they actually have to shift and vary RPMs instead of the monotony of circle track where you just sit in top gear and stay in the top 80% of the rev range.
@Shannon - power is close, but the NASCAR rev limit is about 1500 higher the the Supercars, which is why the US car only needs four years, or to use three of them here, while the Aussie edition has a six speed 'box and shorter diff.
the rules call for a specific wheel and tire size that all must use...they have 15 inch wheels and tires are 10 inches wide......try driving a 3400 pound car with 750HP on that......go ahead.....I'll wait
@@marklowe7431 across the mountain top is pretty technical but they hit 200mph down conrod straight but like everything else , cars & drivers are not created equal , ambrose was nothing special in either type, , he was lost when he tried to come back here , couldn't compete even though he was in a good car with a team being run in part by pensky ,
LMAO so many comments about the Aussie supercar not having much chop, less power, bad lines blah blah blah but what y'all NASCAR fanboys don't know is this was a planned publicity stunt and the drivers were told what to do. The V8 supercar was just mucking around, toying with the NASCAR, it was staged boys. Sorry to burst your bubble, but on our tracks where our million dolla race cars have many decades of testing and development put into them, I'm afraid at full tilt, the NASCAR wouldn't be able to keep up for more than a couple of corners IF he was lucky! He wouldn't see the V8 supercar again until it was in the rearview mirror coming up to put the NASCAR a lap down. Sorry. But I'd expect the same if one of our cars raced on your tracks. It is what it is, but I couldn't let you keep on thinking that NASCAR was faster when it was a staged pass for an event.
Who ever was driving the v8 super car maybe wasn't the best driver 'no disrespect, but he was struggling. Locking the brakes and over driving the car,but clearly taking the best lines ,you can clearly see no comparison between the two, nascar all over the track 'couldn't get traction all over the place, But fun to watch,
Supercar is quicker on the tight and twisty, but the Nascar will out perform on the free flowing track with long straigts. I would like to see this done on the Mt Panorama track lol.
That was not a Falcon ! And a poorly set up Super car at that, even if it was ? With a School boy driving ! 10 laps around My Panorama & this NASCAR vehicle would be out of Brakes ,let alone a 1000 Kilometer Race . And as well as that, it would be out of Tyres & Fuel ! Please ,at least put 2 Competitive Cars & Drivers on the track together if U want Some Sort of Comparison ! But Really for me ,it is very hard to Compare the two, because they are very different ,& never set Up to Compete against Eachother ! Different to begin with, a different design ,but in essence to achieve the Same Goal ,& win Races . And in due Course Different Race Circuits will Suit each Car, one more then the other !
