The touchpad is great! Can't stand squeeky mouse wheels. The D-pad and buttons are just like how you remember a Nintendo controller. It's not the most ergonomic. I'm totally fine with it. Double clicking is the only annoyance even if you mostly get used to it. I got this with a Famicom style keyboard. No regrets. 8-Bitdo products are top quality. I rarely use a mouse for gaming so it's really not a problem.

he is correct. the mouse is not comfortable at all, it is heavy, left and right click doesn't feel the same as if you are tapping on your console buttons. i like the arrow pads that works as page up page down though,, over all this mouse is more of a novelty.

It matching the 8bitdo keyboard I just bought is cool. Besides that I don’t see a reason to buy it. And IMHO with all the drawbacks and missing features I wouldn’t even say that’s a good reason to buy it. I’d gladly pay $70 for a nicer version of this. For the price it’s not bad, but I use my computer far too much for a $30 mouse

On the amazon questions, 8BitDo said of its sold out status: "Sorry for the inconvenience. It may be in stock next January."

I was hoping to get this precisely because it has no scrollwheel. For some reason, those always break in my mice before anything else so I just wanted to do away with it.

This mouse is a match for my raspberry Pi with the NesPi case... Now I must find the matching keyboard.

The software only exists for a few select controllers, most controllers don't even have the luxury of abandonware and just never had software to begin with like the m30 2.4g

Does this not connect to 2.4ghz recievers lije most 8bitdo pad? Could it not be used as a mouse for old consoles like megadrive or snes?

Not a comfortable mouse for regular use.. the click buttons are really a pain on your fingers, aesthetically as novelty it looks cool on your desk though.

I considered this at one point, but ended up choosing the Logitech M510 instead because it cost less and was available at brick and mortar retailers like Walmart.
