8K Sony a1 Sample Footage (Early Morning In Las Vegas - An Alpha 1 Video)

Finally got to test out the 8K capabilities of the Sony Alpha 1. I woke up early one morning and shot some 8K on the streets of Las Vegas. I shot everything in 8K, 4:2:0 10-bit, in Sony's S-Cinetone color profile. Nothing fancy, no adjustments, just some plain ol' test footage, so I can see how the 8K holds up when cropped in to 200% in a 4K timeline in Final Cut Pro X. Lenses used are Sony's 24mm f/1.4 and 135 f/1.8 G-Master.

Looks incredible, Mariano!! Really awesome results. Not quite 8K, but I just got the new BMPCC 6K Pro, and I'm really enjoying it. Gonna be the second shooter on a wedding this Saturday, and I'm looking forward to using it. The lack of autofocus and image stabilization does scare me though 😬 Built-in NDs are nice and make up for that.

Whoa! I didn’t expect to say “Whoa” when watching but I did. That looked even better than expected. So if you submit your video to RU-vid in 4K does it stay 4K for us to view? And do you also own an A7Siii?

I haven;'t figured out the 4k thing on RU-vid yet. I will need to ask one of my kids, who knows more about this than me, haha.... and yeah, I got the a7siii at the end of last year, since I do a lot of videos for work.

Broo what is the difference of Alpha 1 and A7r IV? Im curious about it which is better? i want a quality that has no noise and not too sharp

hey there... quality wise they seem to be pretty much the same. can't quite tell the difference between the a7Riv and a1 when you're zoomed out. but one thing I do notice is that these higher megapixel cameras like the a1 and a7Riv are not as clean as the a9ii when you crop in to 100%. I guess when the sensor is so dense you have to give up some noise, especially when you up in the higher ISOs, its really noticable

Hi! Really nice video. I think you are experiencing the same banding in the background of your studio that Gerald Undone was talking about in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qp1VFFx47V0.html at 11:35, it is quite distracting to watch, that's why he ended up changing his background for his videos. thanks a ton! I think that has to do with the texture on my wall, it's heavily textured, and once RU-vid compresses my videos during upload, then it's a big fat mess
