@@rendderview5236 I'd guess it's ADPCM encoding, or some kind of other format that only stores the difference compared to the previous signal level. The samples do not always get a chance to play until completion and center themselves, and the next sample does not restore the center to the center.
@@Nikku4211 That might be the case, or there could be an automated reset when a new sample plays, which would then get smoothed out by the Gaussian filter. Don't take any of this as fact though, I'm not the most knowledgeable person on SNES audio.
@@vuurniacsquarewave5091 Speaking of SNES audio, Nova is developing Nova 2 on SNES. I heard that he's thinking about getting you to do the music for it much later on, perhaps in 2021. What do you think about making SNES music?
