The Könner & Söhnen KS 48V-DC DC generator is perfect for such an inverter, which can be started by the inverter's programmable contacts when the battery is low and recharge it directly without disturbing the inverter's operating mode. Deye's recommended use of a diesel generator only works with huge generators that can withstand phase imbalance, etc. and for a normal house is not applicable. The KS 48V-DC DC generator starts automatically, charges a battery up to 3.5 kW and is an excellent backup power source for the system with 48 volt batteries in case there is not enough solar energy.
Thanks a lot for this video, I was looking for this combination (Deye + Pylontech US5000), I'd like to have few questions if I may The Deyes inverters are possible to use as off grid only without the AC connection to the grid right? I've seen that on your display that the grid is Xed How importart is the AC protection box if I never exceed the AC output? Let's say my Deye is able to handle 13kW but my maximum output will be only around 2 - 4 kW Basically I would like to have a direct connection from Inverter to AC outlet and nothing in between, would that be a problem?
Hi Anthony, i've been watching all your videos and really like what you do. Please explain how you choose which breakers to use though. The Deye 8kw inverter manual recommends an 80A breaker but you use much smaller. Doesnt this limit the system? I'm looking to buy a 5.5kw invererter and really confused which breakers to go for.
I agree, the inverter output is a 25A breaker which is +- 5.5Kw on an 8Kw inverter. The inverter input is a 32A which is +- 7Kw, this should be a 60A breaker. The inverter output should be a 60A this is according to the SunSynk 8Kw manual.
Hi Anthony, I really enjoy your videos. Why separating the geyser from inverter? A 8 kw inverter should be able to manage or it's not safe? Last question what's the better solution getting 2 X 5 kw inverters in parallel or getting 1 big 10 kw inverter?
Thank you, the geyser is a solar geyser and If we added it will drain the battery. Adding two inverters is still a good idea it's all about application, size and budget

@Anthony mwambazi can this system run 5 freezers together ? I have 2 deep freezers and two side by side fridges . Will that inverter handle that type op load
Hi there it all depends on your consumption. For this particular house their load consumption averages around 300Watts and this particular up5000 pylo tech usable capacity in parallel is approximately 9Kwh so have about roughly 20Hours of backup straight all things being equal
