I design and make crossbows. Powerful medieval or any sort of old-fashioned type is my favorite kind of that weapon. So when I watch these vids I follow those grains, colours and figures of those cuts. Truly therapeutic material for me these days, when there is little children in my family and not much time or machinery to really build anything🇫🇮

Very nice colour change appears to be salmon colored. Beautiful grain. Are you cutting it board thickness? Or is it 2 inch thickness? Oh nice thickness looks like 3 inch beautiful table material.
Think about it, Japan has been cutting trees for thousands of years and still have large trees on the islands. How could they have them if they weren't VERY careful with replacement strategies on the small land mass they have.
