After watching videos of how they do this overseas 'Germany i think it was' and the precision of the bikes was unreal,seeing our guys over here doing it to help the ambulances out is awesome also,even if there isnt as many bikes.
Well I know that some fire departments use the same siren and some Californian police cars use the code 3 z3 siren which is what the NSW highway patrol uses
After the public relations nightmare we have seen with police i know they are just doing there job but it makes me proud to see the boys in blue helping out in such a tragic circumstances.
Yes you're right I've always had respect to police and every other people working in emergency service. Everyday police officers see things many of us dont want to even think about it so massive respect. In every group of people we have good and bad people so not every police officer is bad most of them are real heroes.

@@justiny8519 no, he was warilla beach on the south coast of the illawarra where I live, this happen on Australia Day and I was there before but the tide was all up.we left around 12 and this happen at around 3pm.
The local 300C Highway Patrol where I live sounds pretty mean... I have watched it a couple of times..... It has some get up and go to it. That said, I own a VE SS and VF SSV. Both manuals. My SSV has been through a performance shop but stopped short of a supercharger. I somehow get the feeling it would need a supercharger to keep the 300c in the rear view mirror.
@@andrewsmith8729 Wow, I envy you those manual Aussie V8s! I drove a Brock Commodore followed by a VN SS for many years- both of them manuals. Too bad I ran out of money to run such thirsty beasts some years ago, but hopefully I shall climb back onto the horse before too long. I'm sure the cop version of the 300C is very very fast...
@@videowilliams I am envious of the Brock Commodore.... back in 1992 a friend had a VN SS ex-cop car.... Drove it from Jupiters to Brisbane one arvo with its drunken owner passed out in the passenger seat. It freaked a lot of people out on the M1.. must have thought it an unmarked car for some reason....🙂 We have one or two of the BMWs around town... have not seen them go yet. That said, there is footage on YT of 2 cops in a Beamer racing to a reported shooting. I am not surprised that they have turned off the comments.... it is worth a watch.
@@andrewsmith8729 I owned one of the last batch of 2005 Monaro CV8-Zeds...6-speed manual that had a performance chip and some exhaust work. Used to drive from Canberra to Port Macquarie very late at night and in the early morning. The Pacific Hwy between Raymond Terrace and Taree was heaven. 🙂 Sadly sold the car in 2012. Still miss it.
Very good job, but i like the approach from the Dutch with their motorbikes, high skills, very efficient, coordinated, organized, very smooth for ambulance and more important for the paramedic and patient in the ambulance.
@@solferuto4 its efficient for the patient in the ambulance and the paramedic can gife them support, because they dont have to use the gas or brake everytime, it is smooth so the parademic can help the patient if it's necessary to survive.
Nobody would be attacking that ambulance, with that heavy police escort, if the nation's president himself was ill and was in that ambulance, he is very well protected. Just putting my 2 cents in this comments section.
The green light is to show speed cameras/ red light cameras that the ambulance is responding. Sometimes the shutter speeds of the cameras are too quick to capture the red and blue lights
its good, only reason there an escort was cause the injured was properly a police officer. corrupted boys in blue helping corrupted boys in blue. if this victim was a civilian, pretty sure cops wont bother giving an escort NSW police are lazy and only put on a show of power when their own are involved in a accident.
Now most police cars kinda suck, even the American ones....there just big heavy things but the Euro countries know how to do it. UK with traffic 5 series etc but I think Aus/NZ know how to do it...the cars, V8's and other decent engines along with really nice looking liveries.
I remember walking home one day and police had a roundabout blocked off so an ambulance could come through unhindered only to learn a short while later that a mother had accidentally reversed over her young child in the driveway. Unfortunately the toddler died from catastrophic injuries.
Sydney did not look like that when I lived there in 1986 - 1990. Everything seemed 10 years behind with the rest of the western world back then. That's why I Left.
GM discontinued holden, they have certain requirements to meet and theres not a lot of cars that meet them. The BMWs are special emergency services vehicles, u cant buy that model unless its a retired police car. European countries use that same model too.
This isn’t very impressive… in the NL, urgent ambulance transports are escorted by 2 or 3 police bikes, sometimes even from one city to another. And that’s enough to keep the convoy moving at all times
UK police no longer purchase BMWs due the engine fires with the N47 engines I wonder if Australia will do the same no longer just Holdens with GM dropping it.
If they were sitting on the side of the road writing speeding tickets people would be calling them revenue raisers. But when they escort a dying 9 year old boy 100km from Wollongong to Westmead they're not doing their jobs. Blokes can't catch a break.

I'm a father myself and can't start to imagine what his parents are going through . My deepest and profound apologies to them .
