Testing low price Delid Tool and Liquid metal thermal paste With IcemanCooler Direct Die CPU Block(ICE-DWB12) CPU Cap Opener aliexpress.com... Gallium aliexpress.com...
I have to say thanks for the video! Helped me a lot deliding my 12900k. By the way I used quick hot air station with small tip to heat just the IHS, I set the temperature to relatively cool 150c heat the IHS for about 2 minutes and it went with EASE. Plus side is the tool itself didn't get too hot so no need for gloves, plus the plastic parts did weren't damaged so you could use it in the future. Few tips use a toothpick when cleaning the silicon and when removing the solder from the IHS, gallium based liquid metal is your friend here together with the toothpick (I like it over the razor blade because it mostly likely won't damage anything). To further clean the die use either normal thermal paste with paper towel, or use metal polish (it's not required but will give cleaner look). One difficulty I find is how much to tighten the waterblock screws I have it working but I have zero idea if it's optimal.
I'd definitely suggest to place the gallium onto a q-tip rather than straight onto the cpu. I'd like your overclock especially your ram cl30 7800 45ns very good 👍 I'd like to see your bios settings. Have you uploaded your bios settings before?
