What a brilliant way to show a wonderful solidarity and humanity to celebrate in honor for the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11. We will be salute you, New York City!! 🇳🇿🇬🇧🇺🇲
It had to be full millitry honours from your friends and allies, her majesty had a lot to do with that ! very unusual for that to happen but it did, This country is not very big, but we pack a punch, we're right behind the United States of America
Perhaps a bit of the same from the USA wouldn't go a miss. We Brits will honour our Allies it's a shame Biden didn't by not telling us about the evacuation of Afghanistan before he started to pull out! That said please accept our condolences for the World Trade Centre from your friends across the pond we feel your pain 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
Believe me, many of us Americans are ashamed of the current state of affairs in our country. I am proud to be American, but not very proud of some governmental choices.
@Denise Williams have you got a job? if so you need to get a hobby to occupy your time a bit more. I've never seen so many bitter and twisted comments from someone. I also love the comments that you reported someone for saying you look like a man but then you've gone on to call everyone jerks. Priceless.
Every time I watch this, I watch it with tears rolling down my face. The Queen also asked for our anthem to be played a few days after 9/11 in 2001. It was a wonderful gesture by the Queen on behalf of the people of the United Kingdom. Thank you.
With absolute respect, affection and appreciation to the Welsh Guards for their beautiful, heart touching performance of our national anthem, you have my humble thanks. Despite the failures of our current administration, it certainly does not represent the whole of our nation, by far. As Americans, we value friends and allies. It is painful and abhorrent in our hearts, the thought of leaving anyone behind or vulnerable before our enemies. If our administration has forgotten this core value, the American people have not. It is also clearly apparent that you are of the same mind. With tear filled eyes, thank you.
@@jameskessler2588 I think Valiant speaks for many people Brits, Canadians, Australians and Commonwealth countries and all true patriots of their countries.
@@josephinefothergill191 except Valiant is an American. hence what I said. And he seems to have forgotten where the former occupier of the Oval Office was the one shatting on allies.
How much the relationship between America and Britain has improved. The lyrics to this song are from a poem about a battle Americans won during the war of 1812. But here are the Brit’s showing solidarity with us by playing it. Respect.
I'm not sure if many know this but Britain also suffered casualties in 9/11. 77 British citizens lost their lives in the attack. I think they had the highest amount of non American casualties from that day because so many British people either live in the US or go for tourism due to how close our nations are. So this isn't just about mourning what happened to the US, they are mourning their own losses as well. Its honestly heartwarming to see two former enemies turn into literal siblings in arms and love. From not being able to stand in the same room without fighting each other. To be willing to give our lives for one another. They were the first to come to our aid and were the only NATO nation to come with us to Iraq when everyone else said no. Granted that turned out to be a mistake but I digress. It would have to take an extremely huge betrayal from either one to break an alliance that strong.
Very well done and for the benefit and information of you and others who view this and to refresh your memory, the words of our national anthem were written by Francis Scott Key in the aftermath of the British attack on Baltimore's Fort McHenry during the War of 1812 when he saw the American flag still waving over the fort that morning and below are Mr. Key's words if you want to look them over while listening or sing along as you stand with your hand over your heart. O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, o'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
9/11 was a terrible & tragic event that claimed thousands of lives too soon. However despite this I disagree with the Queen's Guard playing the US national anthem.
You're entitled to your opinion. However as an American, the show of solitary and comfort from your queen is staggering. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for acknowledging us and the innocent lives lost. We have and will go to battle for you even if you don't appreciate it. Allies forever!
