We are in Pensacola, Fl zone 9a. I haven’t been really sure what to do with bananas -how to harvest them how to prep them for harvest or just really what to do with them to get the best bunch. I spoke with Mr. Charle from our Pensacola Organic Gardeners meeting. He has a great reputation of knowledge on Zone 9a bananas. I’ve tried my best to reiterate what he’s told me and create this film. Hope it helps, and more to come as I am able to harvest the bananas.
While I said more would come regarding eating the banana flower: FORGET THAT, because you only would’ve seen my face make a horrible face as it was beyond bitter! I just couldn’t get it to a desirable taste. Not to say that it can’t be done I just couldn’t do it after my first try. Thanks for watching. Go Bananas 🍌!
