Good leaders see their own failures as results to grow, great leaders learn from other peoples failures, amazing video, I’ll have to think about this more, keep up the great work.

Its all about servant leadership. Accept responsibility for failures and give away the praise and recognition. Make sure your people have the training, resources and support to feel safe enough to take risks and they will become the engine for your team.

Hey Chris, just wanted to say thanks for your video! As someone who has unfortunately been led astray by a lot of insecure leaders in the past, I can definitely relate to a lot of the behaviors you highlighted. But on the bright side, I'm happy to say that I recognize and appreciate the amazing leaders I have now. So thanks for shedding light on this important topic and helping us all strive to be better leaders (and followers)! Keep up the great work, and to those watching, don't let any insecure leaders get you down 😉

Leaders are not insecure, they're leading with confidence!

I wish it were true that all leaders would from a secure identity. They don't. I don't alwasy do that either. No one does. It's the insecure moments where we lead for validation that ruin the impact of our leadership.

*Actions* *of* *Insecure* *Leaders* 00:55 *They* *lead* *to* *be* *needed* - they lead to be the bottleneck - they lead to get rather than give 01:20 *They* *lead* *from* *hype* - they are unable to use/obtain metrics to be grounded in reality 02:04 *They* *fear* *conflict* *and* *"rocking* *the* *boat"* 02:28 *Indecisive* *leadership* - fear of uncertainty - paralyzed by making perfect decision 03:20 *Task-master* *leadership* - they don't take self-care, and by reflection, they have unrealistic expectation on those they lead - they need to ask for feedback 03:56 *Fear* *of* *"mess* *this* *up"* - being over-vigilant and stamping out "black-white" rather than accepting diversity and inclusion 04:34 *A* *perfectionist* *bent* - aggressively eliminate (to protect/fix) all threats to the safety of your team - this leads to anxiety and/or superstitious thinking 05:18 *Afraid* *to* *get* *close* *and* *have* *some* *vulnerability* - leads to flashes of strength and conflict 05:49 They make it "all about them" *(vacuum* *sucking* *victim* *mindset)* rather than validating/encouraging others around them

2:05 I disagree "Fear conflict" ? The major problems with leaders is that they thrive and encourage conflict.
@ChrisMcAlister

True, some encourage it. Some hide from actions that are necessary to make others safe and cared for. They fail by being silent.

Hey Chris I subscribed to your channel I was harassed online by my senior sales manager once I got promoted 2 months. I had to take action with HR and DEI and I am now in a law suit with my company. I witnessed and experienced bad leadership.

Good leadership accomplishes so much good. Bad leadership can do so much harm. I felt sad reading this.

A true leader doesn't make annoying nose noise while talking to a person to the front, much less touching his face/noise. Disgusting.

Sorry I touched my nose. I have many flaws. Happy for my nose itching to be the one that gets critiqued. :-) Be well.

@antoniogonzalez8507 Wow! I watched the entire video and never noticed this. It's unfortunate that you missed the whole point of this awesome video. You are focusing on trivial and irrelevant matters.
