Not quite a golf watch solely but the Garmin Epix Gen 2 has been an awesome daily driver and golf watch. Little pricey but it does everything the s62 does plus a plethora of others.
I bought the Garmin S62 a year ago and I love it, absolutely love it on the course. I also have a brown leather band to wear it off the course. When I got this watch I sold my Apple Watch and I have zero regrets
I don't use apple, but my wife does. I'm looking at getting her a watch for golfing. Are there any features that she would be losing if I got her the Garmin model you have? Thanks
I’ve been using GolfPad GPS for a couple of years, it has virtual caddie and shot tracking plus the ability to download data to do your own stats. Had been looking for a watch to link to it so save using my phone for every shot, in the end I bought the new Apple Watch SE, and it is a fantastic combo. No issues with battery life, far easier to use than getting my phone out my pocket every time, plus it has the benefit of being able to pair with virtually every golf app on the market.
@@breakingeighty Garmin Marq titanium golf watch looks amazing ……but so is the price !! Hoping Garmin bring out an upgraded r10 /new model around mevo plus Skytrak price ….(or bit more) that will do putting pretty well ….think uneekor mini will be interesting too 🤔. ⛳️🏌🏼♂️
@@125phr Yeah I skipped the super high end Marq and Tag watches for this video. But hoping to check out one of the Marqs in 2023! And agreed, on the higher end Garmin R10. Wouldnt at all surprise me to see it happen.
By far one of the best videos on golf watches and kudos for mentioning the Apple Watch Ultra. I’ve been trying to figure what’s the best golf app for it to track my shots and distances to the green. I’ll have to try Golfshot. Thanks!
I have a garmin s62. I've owned it for about 2 years. It was a great watch til recently when the touchscreen stopped working. Tried everything from cleaning to hard reset with no luck. Now, I'm looking for another brand.
I bought Shot Scope 2 years ago. Love the rectangular shape, colour choices of strap n the tracking sensors. Unfortunately it stop working only 1 year of actual usage! And like most electronics these days, it cannot be repaired
I’m currently using my Apple Watch series 8 but very disappointed in its accuracy when it comes to yardages. Garmin seem to be at least 10 yards more accurate.
When it comes to GPS Golf watches - you get what you pay for. BY FAR the Voice Caddy T9 is the best watch for the money - especially when you compare it vs models that cost more than the Voice Caddy T9. Battery lifetime is better that the higher end Garman brands. Quality and durability my Voice Caddy has over 500 rounds (mostly walking) in cold, freezing, rain, and desert heat. My previous 2 Garmin watches battery both would only last slightly more than 1 1/2 rounds per charge. Keep in mind that just because the watch has tons of features - believe me you will probably only use about 1/2 to 2/3 of any GPS function capability - so why pay for features that you will never use. Plus for the money the Garmin screen / display is just slightly above average. Voice Caddy T9 is worth the money.
I've used the Suunto G6 for more than a decade. I'm on my third one. But they discontinued it years ago, so this will likely be my last. No one seems to have replaced it. I used it for swing analysis, primarily tempo and swing length. I'd love a replacement that didn't involve putting sensors on the club. (I also have an Apple Watch.)
I enjoyed the video. Great explanation. I just bought the Garmin Approach S62 watch recently. Could you please tell me if I have to buy the sensor that it goes to my club?
Nice! You're going to love it. You don't have to buy the sensors if you don't want to with the S62. It just makes it more automatic and more accurate if you have them.
Great video! Thanks You didn't mention the Garmin S60 I was considering replacing my S12 for the S60 can anyone give me advice on a $350 budget . Thanks
Can you please please please change your format? Your videos make me want to buy like 10 different watches. I just need to know which one and would love to see some on-course action with them for me to judge for myself if you're going to recommend 9 of them...
I owned a Bushnell Ion Edge. It was ok if a little buggy. Then I got caught in a downpour on the course. It got wet and the touch function quit, making it useless. Never again.
I am waiting for the S62 the fitness apps with the AMOLED screen or Epix 2 with the green mapping and pin placement. I have tried the several galaxy watches just not impressed. The golf buddy ehh. So I wait ....
Great video. I'd love for you to do a head-to-head with the Arccos and Garmin full golf ecosystems. I'm an Arccos user, but I use Garmin for non golf related activities. I wonder what it would take to get you to switch from Arccos to Garmin.
I just quit Arccos I've had 4 sensors go bad and the replacement in grip sensors were out of stock. After spending $200 for 2 years of subscription and the caddie link and the super stroke putter sensor and the entire setup not having a solid warranty on the product was not only enough for me but at least 4 others. Going back to the range finder and phone app. Most courses have the screen in the cart and that's good enough. I was actually just unsold on even going down the watch rabbit hole this video was so good
Had both garmin s42 and s62 but they do not display accurate yardarges on every hole. What is the point when these watches can be 10 yards out in terms o distance. I am always checking my laser with my s42 , but always rely on the laser distance.
That's awesome. I haven't personally used any of them, so can't comment. But will try and get my hands on a couple of their models and potentially include in the next iteration of this video.
Great video but have to disagree with the Apple Watch segment review. I have Arccos and paired it with the watch and the battery life was severely affected. Apple Watches in general already have below average battery life so if you want to use all the health features, workouts, sleep tracking, calls, texts, etc the watch is unusable due to poor battery life. Garmin s62 is amazing (surprised the Garmin Epix wasn’t on list). I thought it was just going to be a nice golf watch but come to find out it has a ton of health features that Apple Watch has and it blows it away in battery life department. I will say that the CT10 sensors are just ok. Arccos is way better here. The CT10s can be very finnicky adding or missing shots here and there but to make matters worse post round editing is pretty bad with the Garmin. Not very intuitive and a clunky interface. They could learn a lot from Arccos here. Keep up the good work 🏌🏻♂️
Image on T9 is really misleading on most advertising. Actual image quality/resolution is very low quality especially for the price. Be sure to check in person before purchase.
I dont get it , the watches you've chosen here dont come close to what the Fenix range does . perhaps you'll argue that Fenix is not a "Golf watch " But then neither is Apple Ultra . This review has more holes in it than my wife's undies .
