You very sadly undersold the Woolies Rewards card! If you ain't using that sucker, you're doing it ALL wrong! I don't do a lot of shopping, only 1-2 x a week, but in the last 3 years (ie, right through the pandemic!) I've still managed to convert all my points to Qantas Frequent Flyer points and have taken return trips from Brisbane to Cairns, Sydney, Melbourne AND Hobart, AND and just booked a 1 way with them next year out to Longreach! I luuuurve my Rewards card (*I don't work for Woolies)!
Woolworths brings back memories. It was a big chain store in the UK but now no more. Famous for their pick n mix candy lol. Isnt Coles a big supermarket in Sydney?
Oh yes, fond memories of UK Woolies. Definitely the pick and mix - the greens and purples were my fave. Woolies Southern Africa is a snob shop - so different to the old UK Woolies. I can't even get lemon curd there anymore. I get my Digestive Biscuits from Checkers. ❤️ Woolies Southern Africa is too expensive.
If you look on the yellow QUICK SALE sticker it will tell you the TIME that the product was marked down find enough of them and you will get a rough estimate in Adelaide it's done at 2pm if you went at 4.30pm it would all be gone ! LOL There is another markdown that is meant to happen around 7pm but it depends what staff are available. My friend Mr Fork is in Sydney he goes Markdown shopping in the city around 10pm and gets the best prices on meat!
@@PhatLifeProject I miss the UK Woolies. UK Woolies was definitely not a snob shop. 😂 Unfortunately, they closed down. It's a shame. I sometimes go to my local Woolies (in Windhoek, Namibia), if it's something I cannot easily find anywhere else (e.g., lemon curd - but it seems they don't stock it anymore).
