On this episode we explore Germany’s Neckar River valley, where we look at 9 castles and discuss the merits of exploring the Neckar River valley over the more touristy rivers such as the Mosselle, Rhine and Danube. The actual video footage shown is of a small castle called, “Burg Dilsberg,” which is located in the small medieval walled town of Dilsberg. Burg Dilsberg (Castle Dilsberg) was constructed in the mid-12th century and the town of Dilsberg was constructed about 100 years after the castle during the early 13th century. Join us as we explore Germany’s Neckar River valley.
