I agree California needs rain we actually need a lot of it every year we have a drought and water become so expensive and the amount of wildfires that happen are outrageous a lot of people die in those two we are so dry it’s crazy it’s been hotter than ever these past few years it’s just the irony of it all it’s either too much rain at once and then too much heat with no breaks it’s so hard to have balance I think mother nature is not happy with us it seems to be getting worse. I am dreading the summer I’m so tired of evacuating due to fires I never had to evacuate as a child or growing up. It feels like Arizona sometimes.

I bet there's a much more concerted effort to rectify the damages caused in this wealthy area than other areas. No idea why, just have a funny feeling.
@aprilmay1700
@aprilmay1700 8 месяцев назад
If you think La Habra is a "wealthy" area, perhaps you should visit sometime. There are a few nicer homes, but La Habra specifically has a very high rate of very low income families. Your funny feeling is off the mark.
@douglassun8456
@douglassun8456 8 месяцев назад
Do you actually live in Los Angeles County? Hacienda Heights and La Habra are not high-income areas. When I was growing up, they were decidedly middle-class, and they haven't gotten any wealthier over the years. What you think you're seeing is an illusion. The areas that get the most rain damage are the hills, and the houses in the hills in that part of town are more expensive than in the flat areas, where the less affluent people live. So the rain damage, by definition, affects the more expensive properties disproportionately. I lived in Glendora for 20 years, and it was the same way: The more expensive homes are up toward the foothills and they had the worst problems with fires and mudslides. I lived where it was flat, near Foothill Blvd, and where the homes were not as expensive. Never had to evacuate because of a brush fire, and the worst storm damage we ever got was storm drains overflowing.
