So successful trees and fruit set Alyssa. I recommend you buy some light throws from a supermarket ( only $6 or $8) and use them over the more exposed trees to help prevent more cold damage in the next week when it’s going to be bitterly cold. Wait til the rain has gone this weekend then throw over before Sunday dusk. They shouldn’t require pegging as winds are going to light but can lightly peg to branches to keep in place or attach to light stakes. Losing leaves exposed the branches and dieback is likely. You can leave them in place all week even when sunny expected mid week. Just remember to keep the sides of the plastic around the enclosure tightly held in place with planks of wood, pavers or bricks. Even heavy pots. Recommend getting some min max temp gauges to gain an idea where the coldest spots are and protect accordingly. Good luck!!

Looking great for the end of June Alyssa. Lol makes me chuckle when you keep saying how cold Melbourne is 😂. Visit the UK in our Winter and you won't call Melbourne cold any more 😂

Hi Alissa, it's so interesting to watch the custard apples in your garden. I have some enquiries and would like to have your opinion if possible. Do you remember what month you did the hand polination for them? And how many times a year you fertilizer them such as in what months of the year. And what fertilizers have you used. What soil you put in the ground when you first plant them in the ground. I am sure your opinion of growing custard apple will help me growing mine scussesffully like yours in Melbourne. Happy to see new update of these custrard apple trees in the comming months. Many thanks. Have a nice weekend.

Hi Yvonne luong I did pollination end of January and you can see the Fruit set after two weeks 😀. I gave Fertilizer 3 times a year September, January, and April. I’ve been used 5 kind of Fertiliser organic. 1/ POTASH ORGANIC . 2/ ROCK MINERAL ORGANIC . 3/ ROOSTER BOOSTER ORGANIC. 4/ DYNAMIC LIFTER ORGANIC. 5/ COMPOST ORGANIC. All from Bunning 😊 Thank you so much for watching 🙏
