Hi Kara and Nate! I am the girl from Prague, I wanted to thank you for being the sweetest and for your patience, it was a dream come true to bump into you! ❤Have a Merry Christmas and great and successful 2024! Glad you like the backpack, Karolina
It’s so much harder than people think. The amount of discipline it takes to always be filming and editing, and, making it look so natural, is mind boggling. They definitely do it better than anyone else!
I can't believe Nate was worried no one would be interested.... this was BY FAR the best series of the year! It put me in a huge holiday spirit and just made me so very happy! I love watching you guys travel and eat all of the local foods. It brought me back to the good old days when you first started traveling. Thank you both so much for this series! I ABSOLUTELY loved it! Thank you for entertaining us all for the past seven years! We love you! Happy Holidays to Everyone! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! 🎄🎅🏻✨💖❄🥂
We need more series like these!!! I know Nate loves his competitions and endurance tests, but we've missed these types of episodes so much! Thank you thank you! This whole series just filled me with so much holiday spirit and happiness!
I miss these type of videos where we can just virtually travel with y’all and maybe to aspire to do some of the things you are doing. I would love to see more like this series!
As an Estonian i´m really happy to hear you enjoyed Estonia and Finland so much. Don´t often see people get so happy visiting a small country like Estonia. :)
At first when I didnt see Helsinki and Tallinn on the list I was like "why don't they go there" and now, they did! I went these 2 places last year and theyre really magical. Glad yall like it!
I don’t normally comment but this was one of my favorite series. I haven’t really been in the Christmas spirit this year with my depression but this series brought me soooo much Christmas spirit and now I’m hoping to go to one before Christmas. Please do more in the future of these!
I’m watching this in January 2024; and I’m getting all the Christmas feels still🎄✝️ You two have such a gift of visual storytelling. What might seem monotonous on paper is brought to life through your authenticity and openness. What a treat this channel is! Praying you had a joyful Christmas and a fabulous start to 2024🙌🏽👏🏽🫶🏽
I definitely cried watching you two experience Helsinki's Christmas market! I lived in Helskini for a year during university and this gave me ALL the feels!
I love how you stay in multiple luxury hotels, fly business class etc but Nate still appreciates the beauty of being able to buy chimney cakes two days in a row. It shows how you are both still so down to earth and thankful for experiences like these. I also found that exact moment very very relatable. Merry Christmas and thank you for bringing us all your wonderful videos!
I must admit, I like the fact that your Christmas Market challenge brought you back to your original travelling roots - trying and explaining everything you eat and do. I like it! Please do more of this!😊
As someone who has Finnish heritage and loves Christmas way too much, I am so thankful for this video for it has made me even more motivated to visit Finland!
Me and my wife as Finns are so happy (and proud) that you got so good experience of Finland!❤ Especially, when you ate that veggie pie which is actually Lörtsy, a traditional Eastern Finnish (Savo-region) pastry. Oh how we would have liked to be there with signs with "Welcome Kara and Nate!" 😄 We love your channel and pray that you have safe travels to home after this!❤🙏 Hyvvee joulua!
Not only do I love y’all’s personalities, but I also LOVE the fact that I learn a lot just by watching y’all’s videos. The facts about the historical monuments, food, and places y’all visit are mind blowing!! I wish I could convey how much I (and all of y’all’s subscribers) value the incredible content that you two put out. Thank you for being you, Kara and Nate!! ❤
This series was the best made love Christmas even more considering how they blend it more with tradition at the markets in Europe rather than in the U.S. very commercialized holiday 🎄
It is so nice to see you visiting Baltics. Im from Latvia, just belove Estonia and the christmas markets are nice and cosy. Nice food and gluhwine (Karstvīns) are amazing with a really full and nice taste. With the snow that was alot here this year it was amazing. Really love to watch your videos! You guys are fun, smiling always and overall positivity ,energythat comes out of you both is what we need in this world! Thank you! ❤
There's a reason you guys have almost four million subscribers! The fact that you take time to make things more interesting etc. for us! I appreciate y'all. Merry Christmas and many Happy New Years. Thanks for the kiss Kara! xoxo
As a vegetarian, I can highly relate to Kara being excited for the veggie options! I was surprised on my first trip to Europe when most places had more than one veggie option. In the US, it is typically one option if that. Thank you for covering the veggie options! I like to add places that have veggie food to my travel bucket list 😊
Dear travelling couple: I broke my foot and missed my christmas market in Helsinki, Finland. Thank you for showing this, I loved every minute ❤ You made my day 🇫🇮👍🫡
Riisipuuro looks like a super typical dish in Argentina, which we call "Arroz con Leche". It's white rice cooked in milk instead of water, basically.. and you add in nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar to the mix until boiling point. You're left with a super sweet, thick, soft and creamy rice pudding that you can eat with whipped cream or Dulce de Leche (the best).
As a helsinkian I am surprised to find Helsinki that high. This was my first time in 6 years visiting the Helsinki Christmas market. Even if I do live in the center. It feels small for what you would think such a Christmassy city like Helsinki would have. That said I do really appreciate the high quality of each stall. There was no touristy Christmas trash being sold on any of them. I am surprised there is no large Christmas market in Narinkkatori in the very center of the city. Usually in the summer there are large events and international food market that is easily 4x the size of that Christmas market in Narinkkatori. Though the old town is certainly more scenic than Narinkkatori.
Agreed. I was also surprised about the prices. Ok, its pop up market and you can except bit higher prices but still. I dont know if its inflation and stuff, or have they collectively decided to put prices up so high. Its easy to say if you are not entrepreniur but i think its 25% too high. I visited the market few years ago and basic glögi was like 4-6e. Most likely wouldnt pay over 8e for glögi but 8e Glögi with jäger/vodka its reasonable.
As a native Estonian, I was so so glad to see you up there enjoying it. I couldn't make it there this year, so throught you I felt closer to home. Live in the US now😊Aitäh!
The first time I ever came across this channel was last year when I was feeling emotionally down and Nate & Kara’s van life videos gave me inner joy. Since then I’ve been a consistent viewer. Thank you guys so much for your effort and merry Christmas 🎄 ❤ I truly Hope to be like you guys one day❤
Nate talking about Santa waiting in the hut to talk to all the kids... then the cut to Santa, and the slow zoom in to him just looking dead inside absolutely killed me 😂😂😂😂😂
I love that you liked the Finnish glögi so much! In Norway that drink is called gløgg (ö and ø are pronounced the same way), and it is such a staple for Christmas and winter! It is one of my favorites as well, and I am SO happy you included the Nordics (Scandinavia is only Norway, Sweden and Denmark), we have some major differences in Christmas traditions :D
While watching every episode of this series I just kept thinking “man if only they’d go to Tallinn.. one of the most unique places I’ve ever been for a Christmas market and I think it’s largely overlooked by tourists” .. I was losing hope that you guys would get there AND THEN YOU DID! Estonia is amazing, can’t wait to go back one day. Living vicariously right now!
I literally had a huge smile stuck on my face throughout this video! 😊 Also when Nate told the story of how they couldn't afford the chimney cake back in 2014, and now he'd give anything to go back to the feeling of first time seeing a city, I had tears in my eyes. I could so relate to that feeling 😇 Love from India ❤
Yeah, Nate, I understand the feeling of experiencing travel locations as a first-time visitor. You guys have racked up your fair share for sure. And in a way, through your channel, so have we, keep exploring! ✌
It's amazing to see how far you two have come physically, emotionally and financially. You two should be so proud of your achievements in life. Being able to follow your passion, as well as your work ethic, consistency, and positive attitude, is inspiring. All that hard work early on and consistently throughout the years has certainly paid off. I wish you two a great festive season, and I look forward to the many wonderful videos in 2024 and beyond.
I love your dynamics as partners. You are always very kind to one another, and there's no aggression, passive or otherwise. It's such a refreshing dynamic. GREAT series. Love your travel chronicles. Thanks for sharing.
I absolutely love living vicariously through Kara & Nate! ❤ the number of times I quote them in conversations with friends is hilarious. Thank you for surprising us with the most amazing experiences across the world. Merry Christmas 🎅🏼 🎄
I can't describe how much I love watching you guys traveling around the world and making memories. It feels like I'm making the memories with you. I really appreciate what you're doing, love you guys !
Hi merry Christmas I just wanted to say how cool it was that we received 2 videos in 1 week. Hope u guys enjoy your Christmas, Every Sunday I look forward to seeing a video and I always love them. Merry Christmas!🎄
I'm Finnish-Australian & this brought back memories of riisipuuro 😋 Made me smile to see you guys in Helsinki, Finland, & yes Tallinn, Estonia is a beautiful city I visited once. ❤
I love the Budapest Christmas market! Salzburg was nice, but Budapest had a lot more unique gifts and stands. Also, the light show on the Basilica is awesome. It’s sad to see how much Nate was downing it all the time.
This series made me soooooo happy! I'm usually alone during Christmas time so these videos warm my heart. Thank you for letting me spend the holidays with you!
I love the style in Helsinki & that it wasn't selling tacky souvenirs as much as the others.. and the first view was cool. Captured beautifully. I would definitely love to go across on that ship too!
So close to a chance encounter with Kara and Nate! My wife and I were so happy to see the itinerary change to Helsinki and Tallinn. We just returned from there and loved reminiscing our trip through yours. We may have even been there at the same time and are so sad we didn't run into you. Thank you for so wonderfully capturing these places that I'm not capable of myself, so that we can relive our memories as often as we like.
As someone who is in that veggie population, it is SOO good to see my favorite travelers sharing the vegetarian options all around! Love your videos, keep it up!
What a great way to end the year! I loved each one! You guys are the best for doing this for us! I hope you can spend the next few weeks relaxing with family and friends. 💜💜
Goodness me - the two of you and your travels bring so much joy to my life! Thank you both for a fantastic ending to another great year of content, inspiration and fun. Watching you both roaming the snowy, cold and lit up streets of Europe has given me so much Christmas spirit - something I've definitely struggled to find as a Scandinavian living in New Zealand. Hope you both have a much deserved break and I can't wait to see what crazy adventures you'll get up to in the new year! Lots of love x
I really want to thank "Nara and Kate" (we say it all the time) and their family and friends for bringing such great content and good times over the years. The dedication, perseverance and hard work you two put into each episode is astonishing. I am so excited for the next season and where you will take us next in life's journey. I've been to a lot of the places you both go and we probably almost crossed paths in our travel journeys. You both have inspired so many new trips. Given so many the confidence to go out in the world and explore. You even had me captaining a narrow boat (didn't know they existed until you went) from Manchester to Wales for 2 weeks this fall. I just came back from Paris and Cologne and what I liked about Cologne was that you can visit 3-5 markets within walking distance of each other. At the end you did select one of the best ways to see the markets if you only have a week or so. The best advice you gave was to pick a city you want to visit and go. I even went to a christmas market outside the Louvre in Paris and had a great time. I really wanted to go to Finland and Estonia this year but time didn't allow it so I am so happy that you shared the last markets and that amazing ferry ride. Most of all I really want to wish Kara and Nate happy holidays and a very happy new year! Thank you again for sharing your lives with all of us! Enjoy your success, you both certainly have earned it! See you down the road ❤
This is by far my favorite type of content you make. Where you just go to a place and show what's there and why it's awesome. I enjoy this much more than the physical challenges you do. Hope to see more of this stuff. Happy New Year!
I think this is the first RU-vid video that has made me actually cry 😅 without even being a sad one. I’m an Estonian, I live in Dubai and usually I try to go back home for Christmas but this year I had to cancel my travel plans. Your emotions in Estonia were so heartwarming. Also 10/10 series overall.
BEST SERIES EVER. This series really reminded me of the OG days of Kara and Nate while they were trying to complete the challenge of 100 countries. Absolutely loved it and best of this year :D
I love Finland! That’s where I discovered gluhwein and the sauna cold plunge in the 80’s. Scandinavia in general is magical. Prague’s main square has food stalls and sells the chimney cakes year-round. I see why Kara loved it there! A European Christmas market trip will be the first thing I do when I retire in 2 years.
"It tastes like...a salty, thick, paper plate." 😂😂😂😂😂 Gotta love Nate's honesty! Loved the series. Have a great holiday season! 🎄🎄🧑🎄🎄🎄 See you next year 🎉🎉🎉
This Christmas Market series was phenomenal! Y'all touched our (my husband and my) favorite reasons we love watching your channel! The real connections, the crazy running travel days, the culture, the people, trying new foods. That's what we love.
Sadly the past few days have warmed up so much that all the snow at the Christmas market in Tallinn is gone. Was really cool seeing you film outside my home and work.
This video series has legitimately made me think about how I can do a similar trip in the future. I am getting married in the spring, and now I'm dreaming of going around to different Christmast markets in Europe with my wife, even if it takes us years to get to that point. I am also new to the travel hacking game, so Kara and Nate's videos always get my gears turning on how to maximize miles and points to make an epic trip. I highly enjoyed this series, it made my Christmas season very happy. Thanks, Kara and Nate, and merry Christmas everyone!
I have come to anticipate your videos as much (if not more) than my favorite TV shows. Will miss you guys on your hiatus but it is well deserved. Hope you are planning a lot of rest and family. Can't wait to see what you have planned in 2024. Merry Christmas to you and your families!!
As German also doing a vacation every December with my husband to see Christmas markets in other countries I loved the videos so much!❤ this year (and right now) we are in Budapest and I get what you mentioned about the crowds but it’s really a weekend thing. When you go and visit the markets on the not so busy days it’s so lovely and so great with all the effort they put in to decorate the whole city. We already got our trip for next year booked with Brüssel and I can’t wait yet 🙈 Hope you do the same trip next year with different cities and maybe a little more time in between so it’s not as stressful. Wishing you the best for Christmas and the new year😊
I love, love, love this 3 part series on Christmas markets. When ranking wonderful things and experiences, I feel it is so subjective to what you are wanting out of it. An experience can be amazing and yet different than what we were expecting (leaving us unsure how we feel). Then there is the other side where something checks the box for what we needed in the moment and therefore ranks high without a clear way to explain it. So many things go into it: How we feel in the moment, what we need, what we expect, and what we might have planned. You definitely can't go wrong if you lead with love and an adventurous spirit. Thanks for sharing you wonderful journey. Much love and best wishes in this holiday season.
This series was my favorite series of the year. My husband and I love the Christmas Markets, but we were unable to go this year. However, thanks to this series we were able to “revisit” some of our favorite markets, which has filled a void in our holidays. Thank you so much! Merry Christmas
We are getting ready to leave for our Christmas vacation, but there is ALWAYS time to watch a Kara and Nate video. ALWAYS! Even with my husband telling me to get ready! 😂 OMG! Thank you for taking us along. It has been magical, and the Kara and Nate touches, make it all the more special. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas guys. 🎄 Sending love and best wishes for the season. ❤
The Bike Across America was a Grand Slam & now the Christmas Markets was another Grand Slam. You’ve hit it out of the ballpark twice in one month! 🥇⭐️🏆🥇♥️from David P. Houston, Texas
I just finished binge watching all of your 2023 travel vlogs that I missed because we were too busy on our own adventures! This was so much fun to see all of these markets! Now on to binging what you have of 2024!! Thanks for taking us along on these digital adventures!
My Sunday is always made better- thanks to your videos. ❤ I loved this mini series of Christmas Markets! Thank you!! 🙏 Merry Christmas, friends. No matter where you are- I am sending the best wishes to you ✨ 💫
as an american vegetarian who always worries about what I'll be able to find to eat when traveling in other countries, I've loved seeing what you guys have tried in this series!!
Honestly these have been some of the best videos you two have done... love the Christmas marts... reminds me of the days I was stationed in Germany during Christmas they always did it right
This has absolutely been my favorite series that you guys have produced. I have never laughed so much and so hard. And I've watched you guys for like 8 years. Kara's surprise garlic tongue at 33:59 made me lololol!!! I've laughed, giggled, and even teared up watching this series. I'm taking my wife on the tour you suggested at the end. At least the top 4. Thanks to you both.
I'm vegetarian too (have been for 31 years!) and I'm so glad that you all are sticking to this diet while traveling! So impactful for the planet and animals. Love to see how you show you can travel while being vegetarian! LOVE all of your content over the years - thanks for all of your hard work!
This was great fun! Thanks for taking us along on your Christmas Market Journey. I'm 50% Finn so was glad to see Helsinki in the running for one of the top spots. No, I've never had the privilege of going, but I love seeing the sights through other's eyes. Merry Christmas to you both! By the way ------- I love you guys!
It would be so cool to see Kara and Nate re-visit 'The 100 Countries' again with a uniquely fresh perspective. Love all the work you guys put into the videos :)✈♥
