Oh wow thank you so much Dave, I really appreciate it! Any other good tips for taking more fashion / editorial style photos? It's such a fascinating world and I often get a lot ofinspiration from seeing the more outlandish fashion shoots in magazines :)
Hello can you please recommend to me a good camera for landscape photography under 800 dollars? I'm new to photography and I really enjoy taking pictures of buildings and nature.
You are spot on. I will start doing what I preach to others "The hell with what others think. They are not you, don't live to please others. " It's your life so do your thing! as long as you don't physical harm to someone else."
I see it as a form of creative expression. It's great for someone who's not too good at drawing or painting. Instead of a pencil or paint brush, you can utilize a camera to create something and tell a story that way.
Hey kika, how about you start an Instagram challenge where all of could take part in? I think it would be really interesting to see how all of us are being creative during this time
I just recently started watching your videos on photography and I am totally loving it! As an art student, I find this absolutely helpful. I feel so thankful about you providing such creative content. I am going to continue watching your videos. Once again, you are amazing!
I've started at the beginning of your videos and am enjoying them all! So much value! But, I knit every morning so I mostly leave just an emoji in the comments(so that the algorithm gods know I want to see more of you lol ). I'm so glad these are here to keep us company while you love on your new baby. Congratulations!💝
wonderful tips & images!! thank you 🙏🏼 Your enthusiasm is delightful & infectious also, your canopy w/fairy lights over your bed or reading space is fabulous L💓VE it
OMG I loved it so much! I think sometimes we get stuck in taking self-portraits, thinking that "Oh, I need more makeup" or "Oh, I can't do it without a flawless dress" but that's not true. Sometimes, when we don't have the resources (or the type of face) we would like, but we still want to do the self-portraits, creativity can do it all! And you're full of it, Kika 💛
@@WildEmpress if you can take pictures without makeup, that's great! 💕 I still don't have enough confidence for that, that's why I usually prefer Kika's videos about no-face self-portraits 😅 I think that the key is storytelling, not just showing the face 🤔
OMG I just came across your videos and I have to say thank you! They are amazing! I'm learning so much! Of course, I've subscribed to keep learning! Have a nice day!
I love your videos so much. I watched all of them and you are the most creative instagrammer ive ever followed. I think you deserve much more subs and followers😍 thank you so much
I love your work, Kika! Thank you so much for all your tips on selfies! I have tried to follow some! My IG is full of selfies and it is not about vanity or wanting attention! It is simply a way for me to start loving myself again after an abusive relationship which destroyed my self confidence, my self esteem and tracking my journey and progress! 😘💙
I feel this to my core! Self portraits have helped me heal emotionally, licensing them for book covers helped me get enough money to get out of a bad relationship too!! I use to be worried about looking vain online but I eventually got over that. Sometimes the biggest blocks to self portraits isn't technical its emotional... but that means there's so much room to grow from the experience 💞
Thank you especially for the last tip! Self confidence is really easy to loose and we should be less ashamed of how a new interest is perceived by others (especially people who doesn't know you at all or very little!). For istance, I find that lots of times what truly stops me from learning a new subject is not really the "talent" I supposely have for it, but the fear of prejudice. Although, once the fear is recognized and there is a will to change, everything starts to be suddenly easier! Keep it on!
I love your videos and very much enjoy your ideas and creativity. In a world where the selfie has been around for many years, it is nice to see another aspect and view. You are a joy to watch.... keep the videos coming. Saying hello from Rhode Island USA ❤️
Hi Kika ...you are very inspiring and watching your video make me more confident about taking pictures of myself...your self portraits are so gentle and beautiful
I like your photos very much, I think they tell a story and that's making them quite interesting to look at. You want to take a second look. I'd love to recreate your style, because I don't like seing myself in pictures. There is too much I dislike, and I guess it won't work well if you don't have enough self confidence hence too much body shaming. Thank you for mentioning our society and the tendency to show unnatural (mostly photoshoped) beauty as a reality we all can (and should!) accomplish although we already are the perfect version of ourselves. I think there is beauty in each and every one of us as well as nearly in all things. To seek and to find it has nothing to do with being narcissistic but maybe it helps us to show our personalities the way we want to be seen. So, please go on in taking those beautiful and inspiring pictures - and showing them to us! I really appreciate it. And - perhaps, if you like - you let us in the secret of bringing in all those digital elements into your photos … what program do you use, where do you find the props you use and, most of all, how do you create your visions? I sometimes think you know what digital prop you're going to use before taking the photo - would be very interesting to watch you creating a picture from the idea to the final product. XX
love this! really enjoy the content you produce. It's inspiring and has inspired me as a photographer during this time to start doing self portraits. Behind the camera usually, but when you stop caring about what other people think, it frees you to produce and share work (like self portraits) that you really love and that is when great work is made.
I could not agree more with you. I discovered your channel a month ago and thanks for this particular video. So helpful. I've been trying to take self portraits during the lock down and this week end has been 'productive' (nothing fancy) but only a couple of shots that I'm happy with (which is already a lot!!). I wish I've seen your video last week 😅 thank you so much for sharing all these tips. You are a very inspiring human being and I'm sorry you left London in such strange times. Wishing you the best in Helsinki with your family and friends. Flo from London x
Great video, I looked for tips to take my own photos to update my LinkedIn photo. You make incredible pictures! Truelly amazing, so creative and beautiful, I got all inspired. I will try to make photos in the garden :)

Thank you for the video... Some great advice that I will try. Could you perhaps consider doing another video about staging...? How to put this? How to use the environment, your surroundings and props to make good photo sets?
I love you and this video! I was trying to do some self portraits this morning and despite finding the perfect lighting, only a few of them came out decent and I was really down about it. It’s hard not to be over critical of your own face. But this video really cheered me up and made me feel less like a failure. I will try again and try to apply your tips this time. Thank you for sharing your tips and your beautiful personality!
Hi Arielle! Oh don't feel too down about it. I know the feeling though and I'm glad this video helped. Also, i usually find that if I take a break from looking at the pics a few days, i'll feel much less critical about them when I get some distance :)
Been searching for days on how to take gorg. photos and I found your channel then subscribed immediately..yehey! I just love your personality. So bubbly and lively. 😍😍
After watching this video, I gave it a try and boyyyy, it really was hard to look natural! I finally understand the meaning of looking natural. Much to learn!
Love this video!.. I usually don't include myself in my Instagram posts/pictures, but have been taking photos of myself since I started photography back in 2014 and have learned quite a bit on my own.. Thanks for being genuine and authentic!..
Thanks for your tips. Last time I took a photo inspired by your idea of taking photos at home. It's pretty. I love your filters. Could you teach us some basic knowledge of editting photos?
I look forward to your videos. They’re so helpful... and entertaining to watch. I need to insert myself in photos more for my art website and social media. Portraits and in-action shots (hands painting/creating), but didn’t know how to accomplish that without making it a dreadful experience. I discovered your channel recently and have been watching repeatedly, taking notes and brainstorming fun ideas. Thank you Kika!
Firstly , sorry for my English, secondly, I am so so glad that I find your channel and Instagram! Your videos and photos are REALLY helpful and valuable! And your energy makes me not give up my favorite thing!:) Thank you!
I'm super stoked to hear that! Ah that must be so much fun to be able to involve your kids too in it! Our two cats are often very curious when I do my photos, althouhg they arenät very good at taking direction in posing :D
Kutovakika I just have to ask, do You speak Swedish? And would You consider a meat up in Stockholm next time You are here, (when You can travel again) 🤦🏻♀️❤️ 🤣☺️ the kids dont take so good directions either 😂🤦🏻♀️
You are very inspiring and positive person! I'm very glad that I found your channel, because it's absolutely change the way I start look at my pictures. You inspired me to start taking my self portraits and do more artistic retouching. Also this is very helpful video for me to practice more :) Thank you again!!😊
You are such an inspiration ✨✨ I have recently came across your channel and I fell in love. ❤️ just wanted to say you are doing really good and keep up the good work 👌
Thank you for this video. ✨It inspires me, and maybe I will take some self portraits in the near future! I always felt so embarrassed to take pictures of myself, even when I was alone. But I start to think it's not about ourselves, it's about art. If we see it from another perspective, we will set ourselves free! P. S. : please, never never never stop put that song in the end of your videos!!!! 💙💙💙💙
Hi, I love to watch all your videos, but this time I Will take the action and try to chatch my quarantine study life. Thank you And have a super great day

Love your videos. Very good tips 😍👌 I find it so hard to take pictures. Well especially if somebody else is taking it. Maybe I'm a control freak as well 😂
Hi Kika, I really enjoy watching your videos. They are professional, smart, creative, playful and inspirational. I was wondering if you could do a video about how to do a creative photo (headshot?) for LinkedIn, for example. Something with a bit of twist, i.e. your style-way :). Thanks.
