What makes your Podcasts unique is the fact that you can connect photography to painting. I understood that I could never become a good photographer if I don´t understand art.

I thinking painting and the masters of painting can help you a lot in understanding composition, color and subject. Thanks for the comment

Thank you - I learned a lot from your comments particularly about light and shade. I was unaware of this painter but really like his style. Hard to believe those mossy trunks weren't a photograph.

Shishkin is my second favorite painter after Albert Bierstadt. Thanks for the video and tips. Looking forward for the other ones.

This particular series just keeps getting better! I have usually employed light to draw the eye to a focus object, but I am seeing how to use bands of light or darkness as a way to establish boundaries or even barriers. I ‘m going to have to look again at the Florida swamp images, which have much stronger bands.

That is why I think painters can offer a much stronger viewpoint and can help a lot a landscape photographer

Shishikn is one of the greatest and his paintings are big in size. They are displayed at Tretyakov galleries in Moscow

Александр Душкин к сожалению давно. В школьном возрасте в Русский музей ходил. Надо обновить.

How come we don’t have any master painters anymore, what year did they extinct 🤦‍♂️

Super realism . Photo, grid , close work to create a photo quality painting. Why ? . A painting of photograph quality does not impress me . It shows lacking of raw artistic talent , more of a forgerer , a copier .
