Sir I know how to find character Eg:sp (no.of orbital)her 100/2=50 s character Eg:sp2(her 3orbital) •100/3=33,3 Eg:sp3(her 4) •100/4=25 By this method we can even find that p character By subtracting s character by 100 Eg;sp3 S character is 25% 100-25 75% is p character

Sir, I have a doubt. whether Px and Py orbitals overlap with S orbital? Because in overlapping of atomic orbitals we learnt that , S orbitals overlap only with Pz in axial position. Px and Py orbitals overlap on their own orbitals and not with S orbitals.

Sir, for N2 region of density vanthu sp2 thaana, because we have one triple bond, two lone pair electrons, so the region of density would be 3 , sir.

Sir one concept i used to say here don't mistake me sir you have said single, double, triple bond we should consider them as one so here the concept is only sigma bond we should consider sir that's why one. Thank you🙏 sir

Romba superaana explanation sir, but I have a doubt. In methane, from 2s orbital one electron will promote to 2p orbital but 2s orbital has (+) and (-)spin then which spin will be in 2py orbital

1st sorry for late reply, actually dont worry about that electron spin because whatever electron may promote to the next orbital but bonding electrons will spin apposite direction only so if + spin electron promote to next orbit remaining - spin electron will coupled with + spin electron in bonded, if - spin electron promote to next orbit remaining +spin electron will coupled with -spin electron in bonded thats all . here you should understand one thing bonded orbitals always have opposite spining electrons .

Not necessary to transfer electron from 2s to 2p Oxygen atom because hydrogen atom having just single electron in 1s orbital its just simply bonded with unpaired electrons p orbital (electron repulsion is not maximum). Electron shifting or electron transfer in orbitals is depend upon nature of the molecule but not necessary in all molecules.

sigma bond is head on overlapping so its very strong bond, but pi bond is sideways overlapping so its weak bond.
