IU honestly shouldn't drop in the rankings at all after that performance. They did a *lot* better than most expected (they were 20.5 point underdogs), and they proved they're a top 10 team. Penix is great, the receivers are great, and the team never gives up. They just came up one drive short.

@@JHnat that’s their mistakes lol that doesn’t mean they “should’ve won the game” what about Fields throwing 3 picks and missing a wide open touchdown throw? You can’t say someone would have won but they made a mistake. Ohio state and Indiana both had mistakes but Ohio state won because they had mistakes but still came through. So you can’t say that Indiana should have won

Wow, I almost predicted the exact score for this game. I predicted that Ohio St would dominate in the first half and lead 28-10 and then Indiana would make a small comeback but lose 42-31. Hats off to Indiana, they had me thinking they were going to get blown out and they came back to almost win. Obviously it’s still not a win, but it was a good effort from IU. They’ve got a good chance of going 7-1 or 6-2 and even making a NY6.

Buckeye fan here, the secondary is not a championship unit... guess we were spoiled with last years CBs...having said that, Indiana has their best team in recent memory and QB is a talent to be dealt with.

Indiana for real. They had so many mistakes and the indiana of old woulda rolled over but this team fought with everything they had and had a chance to tie after being down 28. I loved the moxie they played with

Very impressive by IN. OSU should be proud too. Indiana is a tough team this year and they did their best against a legacy school with unstoppable recruiting. Fryfogle is scary and will continue to impress as will Penix. Fields is consistent and makes the best decisions so quick. Razor sharp. Heisman

Don't forget that Alabama was torched earlier this season by Ole Miss. They threw for 379 yards. Ole miss is now 3-4 and unranked. Indiana is now 4-1 and ranked 12. It's good we played Indiana with more games left. They exposed a lot of areas that need work. The Buckeyes will watch film and approve. We'll be alright.

Master Teague not only has a great name, but a distinct running style. That's usually the case with the great ones, so we'll see, but he is forever getting blown up in pass protection, so he has his work cut out for him.

IU went after Fields and sold out on run...conversely OSU didn't respect Pennix and IU's receivers (Hoosier run game stinks)...OSU was surprised by IU team speed and were out coached...this is a win for IU as they need TV exposure to recruit well in the South (mission accomplished).

Nothing wrong with going for it. If you get it, you keep milking the clock. If you don’t, IU had to drive the field from that position to tie with very little time left. No wrong with being aggressive. I thought they had just qb sneaked it. They play call was suspect in my opinion.

Fields had the worst game of his young career, our secondary got exposed for damn near 500 yards and 5 touchdowns, the refs missed numerous calls that should have went our way, and we STILL won against the #9 Hoosiers. Fix some simple mistakes and we are deadly.

Interesting outcome, would have been amazed if IU won but they actually had the tools to pull it out.. You can't say IU is legit if you think OSU isn't, so I think both are really good, but would be exposed by a power like Alabama (and that's pretty understandable)

Alabama also went though it’s growing pains to start the season. Keep in mind, this is OSU’s fourth game of the season. Clearly they would not beat Alabama in this state, but I think they will improve as the season goes on

He had pressure in his grill and had a WR open to get the first down. 3. That pick was on the damn receiver for not catching the damn ball. I think both teams are good. But let's not start acting like OSU is trash and IU is the shit. IU played amazingly in the second half and OSU played like a team that was up 35-7. It happens, when 1 team has nothing to lose. Respect to IU for not giving up and Respect to OSU for not collapsing. But the IRISH NATION WOULD DEMOLISH BOTH OF THESE TEAMS!!!!
