Me too (55, and still listen to 80's Priest, UFO, etc.) Saw Volbeat in late 2016 - my first concert in over 10 years and instantly in the top 3 (of many) shows I've seen.
Eric Pohlke Same here. I'm 51 yet feel like a teenager rockin out when I listen to them. They've been my number 1fave for five years now. Love you Volbeat 🤘❤️
I totally get you! I've never been too much in to Heavy Music, but Volbeat is something completely else. I love the mix of styles they have , the different influences. That is what caught me. Volbeat is my nr 1 band, then comes Pink Floyd....
They opened for metallica in Boise the first time I saw them and I said who the hell are these guys. By the time they finished I didnt even care if metallica came on I just wanted to see more of Volbeat. They blew me away!
Love Volbeat, seen them 3 times myself but I doubt they outplayed Metallica. It’s we’ll know Metallica doesn’t allow their openers full volume or time to upstage them. I saw volbeat open for Metallica in Philly a few years ago and told some friends wait to you hear these guys live. They all said the same thing, sounds like Metallica turned down their set, oh well
I agree, I feel like this performance captures the spirit of volbeet. As you hear his songs evolve, a unique sound begins to emerge. Here it really shines.
yep. I totally agree. This is one of my absolute favorite songs, cuz of the way those two sounds togeter. In addition to it simply being an AWESOME SONG! LOVE IT!!!!
I discover the band a few weeks ago by youtube music, listening to a playlist of rock, and came Temple of Ekur, and i said "wow... that melodies, that riffs, that vocals, who the hell are this".... and now i'm listening Volbeat everyday.... the voice is so nice, all that high notes... and the vocal melodies are awesome...
Again. I'm sorry. But whoever gave this a thumb's down? Forget it. Stay inside and never go to a show again. This is flawless. But I guess that's just my opinion.
I am 66 yrs old and have had many wonderful opportunities to see so many amazing musicians live in concert and NEVER in my life has ANY ever hypnotized me like Volbeat. Michael Poulsen is the voice of all times ❤️❤️ Freddy Mercury is 2nd.🥰
Not far behind you at 62, I've been very fortunate seeing the best of live music of my life time. Michael's voice screams WOAH! at me. I have to listen. It's so unique. Throw in the crunch and it rocks! My friends don't get it...
I'm an American who has loved European metal/hard rock for decades... somehow I'd never heard Volbeat. Theyre now one of my favorite bands, and "Servant of the Mind" is a fucking incredble album!
Can't recall how many times I've listened to this now. I've always liked the track but this one is so g d f good sounding track live! Love how the crowd goes wild when Pernille appears on stage!
Randy Walker yes they do, I saw them in 2014 in Youngstown Ohio at the Covelli center. They actually opened up for Five Finger Death Punch...He has a cannon for a voice, Both bands kicked ass!!
I’ve seen them twice and they are incredible! Sound better than the album. They start playing, introduce the band, keep rockin’, say “Thank you”, and shut the curtains. No yapping or political bullshit... They are simply the best. And they seem truly grateful and happy to be playing. It’s is really a great experience.
This guy has a very dynamic voice.....reminds me of George Jones...wat Im trying to say is ,,,he can sing more notes in a chorus than most rockers or anyone for that matter can sing in one whole song. I'd love to see them live.
yes great live band. my holyday last year was to odense and volbeat consert in tusinovskoven 1 aug. this year holyday in stockholm and monsters of rock whith black sabbath and volbeat.and now 26 okt in oslo is celebraiting my 46 birthday :-) so i is looking forward to next years dates so i can organize my holyday in 2017
I was at that show in Salt Lake on the 9th. Wow they sound so good in concert even in a small venue like the complex. I was completely blown away by the sound quality. I will go see them every time they are in town from now on that is for sure.
Michael is such a great Singer live. I think we can all agree that alot of rock and metal singers dont perform their best live. But Michael is near perfect.
this song is from one of the best live dvd performances i have ever seen - i constantly have it on - if you love volbeat/rock/metal get this dvd - the guest performances are the icing on the cake
My headphones are up as loud as they will go, vibrating on my head, and it still is not loud enough for this song. Great video and quality. Thanks for posting.
wow! This song makes your heart beat faster.... and finishes rocking hard.... everytime I listen to it I like it more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more 🤣😂
unless you got to see Metallica or Pantera live in their prime, not enough have seen this kind of presence on stage, that gallop the whole band get's into on stage is epic.
Have you seen them live in person? I have and I can tell you without any doubt that Volbeat is one of those very few bands that are just as good live if not better than the studio versions. Why they arent bigger than they are here in the US is beyond me because they are without question the best band to come along since Metallica dropped Kill Em All. If rock was as big now as it was then, Volbeat would be one of the biggest bands in the world easily.
