I must have watched this video five times already. It’s such a great edit. Really captures the feeling of Speedriding with friends. That moment where the guy with black crows animas side slips over the cliff is my favorite part of the whole video. So sick! I have to fly from Joch, been on my list for ages.
Thank you for the great introduction to my next adventure. I’m a pilot of many different aircraft and a skier. This looks like a great way to experience both.
Amazing video dude - pure feel good vibes! I also need that hoodie you're wearing at 6:17. What brand is it?? I've tried to find it everywhere and totally not getting any luck!
Thanks for the feedback! Loved this trip. The hoodie was actually from a local gym in Idaho my brother used to work at! They don't make them anymore but it's his favorite hoodie also!
@@andrewdunning7622 That is a good idea. If you do it for free, you don’t need a licence. But if something happens, the Insurance won’t pay. Not in Switzerland anyway.
@@andrewdunning7622 merci iam naked 78 KG flying 4 Years paraglider and 2 years tandem Para. I want to start speedflying. Not sure which one to buy the 11 or 13 Mirrage RS?
@@makaronie08 Either size will be reasonable at your weight. I would suggest going for the 13 if you are going to be doing a lot of foot launching, the slightly slower speed will give you more margin. If you are mostly going to be ski launching then don't have to worry as much about launching and landing speeds. Either way, try and find a speed flying mentor to fly with, there are some things you will want to do differently than on a paraglider. The wings are designed to dive, so you have to adjust your landing technique, and they aren't designed to fly in mid day thermal conditions like a paraglider.
@@andrewdunning7622 got this video into my feed again, just 10 days before my speedwing course in this exact location (Lauterbrunnen). Nice coincidence :) but I'll stay with footlaunching
I need that freedom 😢❤😢 I've learned the universe in and out in University studying chemistry ⚗️, making new molecules. I've discovered the underwater with scuba. I've seen beyond the heavens with my telescope 🔭. I've seen the microscopic universe with my microscope, and traversed the spectrum with NMR, MS, IR, etc.🔬 I've traveled using airplanes. ✈️ I've explored the esoteric of dynamic field theory and chaos theory, exploring the furthest dimension of fractals and what I believe reality to be. I've taken LSD and explored what uninhibited psyche is with and without drugs. I'm still not satisfied... I NEED to fly! I need to keep discovering. I'm a scientist who is ferocious about discovering the Universe around me. You inspire me to explore more and I can't be satiated until I've now accomplished this! I need and want you help. Please 🙏🏼 Please...
@@andrewdunning7622 maybe I was a little bit too hard, but I don't understand how you can have fun risking your life. And with a lot of people doing this, I feel like they're doing it because it's a trend. And loosing your live because of chasing a trend is for me very sad. And so on.... but of course, we`re both living in free countries, and we all have the right to do what we want to do. So I whish you all the best and save flights! Don`t do too risky things!
@@sennahoj4270 Thanks for explaining, I understand that. It's definitely a dangerous activity, and it's not worth getting killed over. Most of my life has been dedicated to some sort of outdoor sport (kayaking, skiing, climbing) that have an element of risk. One of the most rewarding things I've found I can do in life is activities that put me into the flow state, and flying does exactly that. That said, I definitely accept the risks and focus on making good decisions!
