keep in mind (commenters) these demo reels are setup to show off game features, often over exaggerated at parts, to avoid having to give hours of footage, and instead give minutes. It's astonishing to me the # of people that forget this is a showcase, not a lets play clip. so far to me though, the ground deformation isn't actually an obstacle, so much as it is a visual evolution of the tire tracks. I don;t see it hindering the vehicles any more than field , headlands, roads normally do and I think its more a party trick than an actual step up in gameplay.
I hope the dynamic soil is realistic, ie it doesn't leave a indentation on everything. Grassland and harvested land shouldn't leave a heavy imprint, only cultivated/loose land. IRL its more dependant on how wet the land is than anything else. At 10:22 that kind of rutting irl would actually be damaging the soil structure, especially if the ground is wet so for me they may have gone too hard.
Klutch and Dj interviewed Kermit on the Farm Sim show, and he did say that they are still tweaking the ground deformation. This isn't the finished product.
Loving everything I see. Still not gunna pre-order. I'm gunna give it at least 6 months before I get it, maybe even a year, cuz I want them to get as many of the bugs worked out as possible. Plus, mods, gotta give these epic modders time to get some of their magic out there.
true.. I had to restart my several hour playthrough so many times on 22. Plus if it follows the last 2 entries you'll be able to play "free" on gamepass and just buy the year 1 pass at a discount
I hope they discuss and clearly outline console limitations, for example if the bale limit will still exist and if so what it will be. I’m hoping we can see an increased bale limit on consoles, that would be epic. Right how it’s hard to play on console with my friends, we’re constantly having to work around each other when making bales.
I hope they weather system is improved particularly the weather transitions from sun to rain. Currently the rain begins before the clouds are formed. I remember before FS22 was released they said that we would see storm systems rolling in. Well that didn't happen. As far as tornadoes I'd probably be playing with it off. And the mist I hope that it's not always present and is variable.
I'm so sick of seeing mist and fog in every picture and video, they even have fog on beautiful sunny day sometimes. There better be an option to turn all this crap off or no sale...
Always going to be negative people but in my opinion this looks amazing and I cannot wait for it. Everything looks to be going in the correct way, massive improvements from fs22. Thanks for the video mrsealyp you do a stellar job at it
I wish they would focus a bit more on improving the physics. Like: tire spin, terrain impact on vehicle performance, shock absorber, tire pressure,.. also more vehicle maintenance.
Klutch, DJs farm, Sim show yesterday. If you hire a worker, it’ll do when it’s always done on FS 22 go up and down the field. If you use GPS, it will follow the pathway that’s been programmed.
Cant wait for this! Ground deformation looks great from a console perspective along with GPS. I am hoping tyres will make a difference to the deformation ie the sizes etc. all in all a great looking game 🙂
There's no water viscosity so water and mud particles don't stick to tires. Driving over water feels like driving on ice. The tires are solid like a rock so they don't absord even small bumps. Tractors feel like weightless toys because of that. I think It's about time devs introduce a whole new engine. The current one is outdated by many years.
Tracked machinery especially rubber tracks as these are really good about not sinking into dry dirt and stuff so it makes sense because of the contact patch on a tire vs track why there is less deformation with the tracks it's a cool little detail
Thanks Mr Sealyp, this is great to see, oh and good to put a face to the voice . Think Ill wait a year to get Fs25 only been farming fs22 since last March .
Generally speaking I'm very impressed with what we're seeing so far, but also I'm slightly miffed about a couple of things. The ground deformation is interesting and looks good generally, I think with the Valtra at the start that part of the problem was a combination of the lighting / shadow and probably the fog making it look disconnected from the ground. I do agree too I'd like to see more ground deformation / crop destruction on the grass, it looked great on "open ground" like fresh fields and dirt roads but then seems to stop when you go over a bit of grass, I'd love to see a throwback to the old versions where grassland was knocked back a growth stage if you drive over it. Almost like the stubble destruction we have on a few FS22 maps, Szpakowo springs to mine and I know there are others. The other thing that I didn't like so much, which I 100% acknowledge is a personal pet peeve 😁, was the general composition of the Giants video itself. Yes it's promotional material, yes it's actual in-game footage, and yes it's probably not supposed to be a whizbang cinematic production kind of thing.. but.. it kind of felt like they grabbed the off cuts and leftover footage from where they made a couple of YT Short and slapped it into a video, like I say it's a pet peeve for sure I just think they could've done a bit better at highlighting the new elements than the camera orbiting the vehicle from the driver's POV. But I get that's entirely on me and it's not at all a complaint about the quality of the game itself hehe.
Watched every q&a and shocked that no one has asked if hired helpers are now able to bale or even better collect rows with the forager so we can collect grass for silage true to real life, thought this would have been asked considering the big improvement that gps apparently brings with helpers
Very excited, the size difference between animals is spot on 👌🏼 all we need now is a companion app, buy things from, check on progresses maybe, be able to do tasks on console whilst looking on phone to make sure it's all done correct and none is missed etc.
I played the game this week. I am not a big fan of the simplified gps, basic farm (why can’t Giants give a decent start farm?) and the absence of multi terrain angle. But overall I am very excited after playing the demo. Lucky we have some awesome modders (go check out the Terralife teaser, these guys bring Giants to shame) and hopefully the game will have a lot more option for people that want more realism and a higher difficulty. Time will tell.
actually when it comes to the farm yards..I dont want anyhting there. they tend to jam too many buildings and pens together in a too small space. With larger fields, theres hardly any room for larger equipment. Id rather lay out my own yard, putting buildings and pens where I want them and have room to pull large stuff in and out.
I'm very excited. Ground deformation looks a little disappointing, I see compression but no displacement, but that's okay, it's not whay I'm excited for the game. The Asian map is where my excitement really is. The improved atmosphere and weather also look great, and new rice equipment and telehandlers are pretty cool too.
Will I buy it like every game since 2008, yes, am I happy no fs 17 sounded much better, tractors are still stiff blocks, we got couple of mods implemented in game again. Tornado and hail big plus, no insurance tho I believe... ground deformation? Meh more work for us map makers
Always hard to tell wit these highlight clips, it seems it was highlighting the GPS, pc users who use courseplay and autodrive will be familiar with some of the bits shown but console players will only know them through watching play throughs on youtube. As time goes on we will probably find how all the elements gel together more than we do at present. It looks promising though.
I wonder how the ground deformation will be if you use skinny tires or the sprayers when the crops are in growing stages. I also wanted to see the plow but hopefully they show it next. I really want to see a plow go slowly down into the ground like real life but I am sure that will be a challenging task to do. But I'm excited for this game but patience is key and hope for very little issues on release day. Great video mrsealyp. Also do you have a code for ps5 if so how can I go about it?
For me personally I would much prefer things like mazeplus, manure system and terra life and all those mods make it to base game for console as well. It very popular and why not put it in. Twister are something I would have off. I just hope the day to day weather is better. Clouds before rain and not the other way round. Suppose it would be nice if things were not so automated. Let's connect pipe and attach thing manually. Oh and that draw distance circle. Please get rid of it. So far I like what I see. Let's see what they say in the future
I'm honestly disappointed with FS as a whole, I feel like the game should be at a more advanced stage by now, I mean I'm still going to buy it but I'll be disappointed with myself as well.
All the people, who always diss on the game, should play Farmer Dynasty till the end of time. The FarmSim Franchise is by faaaaar the best Sim you will find.
I’ve pre ordered weeks ago lol I doubt the final game will be much different from these videos. Devs always do a W.I.P disclaimer but there’s not really any time left to change anything now. At this point it’s probably about finished and they are just sorting out the publishing details + bug testing.
With them first gameplay is what you will get. Very little new things in new title... I am not hating I own every game since 2008. 17 to 25 we only got couple of mods implemented in base game. I will still be playing and making maps mods but could be far more
Every year I go to Singapore and Malaysia and farming is huge in Malaysia especially different fruits and veg that lots of people haven’t heard of and would love to play a Malaysia map and you would be up against the dry season then the monsoon part of the year which everywhere floods
the game world still looks dead, hardly any interactivity with anything and really out of all developers moving to UE5 this is one that basically requires it to survive at this point. its not 2013 anymore, there is no reason they are lacking behind other than forcing developers to make games on an outdated engine.
I play on pc and it makes me sad that giants are adding their own versions of features like seasons and GPS because its never as good as what modders can do
Don't buy it then negative nednetherlander. It's a huge improvement from fs22 but hey you go live in the 22 era and us proper gamers who appreciate the fact giants are obviously listening and trying to implement what's asked for move on to bigger better things.
I get the sentiment, but really. The PS4 is 11 years old now, its succesor came out in 2019 (and I suspect a PS6 is close). The hardware and its capabilities will only hinder any new games that will come out, time to move on I'm afraid.
Yeah I won't be pre ordering this time around I'll wait till it's cheaper has mods and they add in a slaughter house for cattle chickens ect so you can produce meat
