Being a Golden Retriever Owner I can tell that it's not as easy as it seems to raise a Goldie. Even though they are one of the most intelligent and gentle dogs, there are quite a few challenges that every new parent goes through. So I decided to share all the advice and tips for raising a Golden Retriever.

Again, really important reminders. I remember regular visits to the vet for hotspots and ear infections early on until we learnt to minimise these. Luckily Garrus is from a reputable breeder and he’s healthy and happy. 🐕

There should be at least one companion to the retriever.....if you don't have time for retriever than forget about keeping them

For 3bhk it is good,but for 1or2 it will be not okay. Not for more than 5 hrs, it can lead depression😐

Puppies can generally stay home alone for 1h per month of age. For apartments you should leave them at doggy day care or have someone walk the dog to keep it company.

@@shivanshshukla8485 I think puppies are 1-3h and starring at 5-6 months old they can be left for 5h. I generally follow the 1h alone per month of age rule. I plan on putting my puppy in doggy day care for 5h x 5 days a week. Since I can’t always be at home with it. This is my 2025 first time dog aka golden retriever.
