Awe Lisa You’re AMAZINGLY Talented and Honest. Thank You for your Trust in suggestions. I’m always getting compliments and owe to You! Your Brushes are Smooth Easy and most Extraordinary! Your tips and Brushes are why friends notice! I’m a Super Senior and have Great Fun applying makeup. I’ve used Painterly for 18 yrs or more. Now MAC has a Beautiful Soft Light Powder Kiss Shadow to add after applying Paint Pot!!! “Felt Cute” is the color. It’s like adding a setting powder air brush look translucent look. Amazing!
I found it horrible! I just bought it for the first time, it creased soooo bad, eyeshadow faded. I set it with powder and still creased badly. I have oily skin. Hated it!!
The paint pots are not so great for dry, mature skin. And unfortunately, I live in an arid climate so they dried out within 3 months. I’m still on the hunt for a more moisturizing dupe though because the opacity is amazing!
Hi Lisa! You DEFINITELY sold me on the Charlotte Tilbury Amber Haze! I literally wear it EVERY day as a lower lash liner. Gorgeous. I agree, I don't wear much eye makeup, but this, mascara, and a light sweep of eye shadow and I'm good! It is a stunning color and easy to work with...at first, I didn't think a chubbier liner would work, but once I figured out how to apply it, it's perfect. I REALLY want to try all the other products on this list, but between jobs now so will have to wait. When I can, Dior Forever foundation will be my first purchase. Thanks for a beautiful, informative video! xo
I got so excited when your holy grails were stuff I already had! And then I remembered that I only have them because you recommended them, and they became my favorites too. ❤😂
10 months late on this video but the Chameleon eyeshadow pencils have been disco’d 😢 I’m looking at the L’Oréal Paradise shadow sticks for an alternative. They seem to have great reviews and a nice color selection. Just an FYI, Lisa’s fav is discontinued…I’m hoping she suggests a new alternative soon.
Oh my goodness Lisa your entire body is so much slimmer!!. I've been noticing your face sliming down, but the short video on the LA launch party...GEEZ you appear so tiny!! You look very happy so I take that to mean your health is fine. You look fabulous.
I'm too clumsy with fat eye crayons on my hooded eyelids, and I don't always want a shimmer around my 64 year-old eyes. So I've found the NYX Epic Smoke Liner in Nude Haze. A skinny, retractable, angle-tipped pencil that seems to be the same base color as your favorite Amber Haze from Charlotte Tilbury, but without the shimmer. It comes in many colors; sometimes I use the White Smoke for a soft matte highlight on my inner corners, or to cover smudges and tiny dark spots anywhere on my face. Much easier to control than a liquid concealer in certain spots. I love the reference to Jane Iredale products - I used to use her matte or soft satin eyeshadows years ago, I'll have to try them again! Thanks so much for the video Lisa!
I agree with you on the amber haze and I use it all the time thanks to you. I use to use the Dior lash primer however, I agree with you on the Jane Iredale lash primer is great and I prefer it because her items are cruelty free.
Lisa, can you do a tutorial using that Jane Iredale matte eyeshadow palette? I just picked that one up and would love to see you recreate the look you had on for the underrated products video ❤
I love the Dior foundation! I got it after you and Angie Hot and Flashy raved about it. I live in Texas too (Dallas area) so i dont have to worry about it looking dry on me even though it's matte.
I tried the Bobbi Brown mascara on your recommendation and I just love it. It does exactly what you describe-long, fluttery, natural-looking lashes. Love!
I love the Alastin sunscreen. I’ve gone through multiple tubes and lasts a long time. All I wear in hot Texas summers and during the winter it’s a touch dark but I mix it with a lighter sunscreen like Drmtology and it’s perfect for an easy casual day. And it’s also awesome under every foundation I’ve tried. Worth the $$$
I got so excited when your holy grails were stuff I already had! And then I remembered that I only have them because you recommended them, and they became my favorites too. ❤😂
I have almost all of these and love them also! I have amber haze and love it but I think I love it in dark Pearl even more! The Mac mineralize skin finish is something I’ve used every single day, forever it feels like! This was fun! 💙🩷
The Bobby Brown Mascara is the best! Love it for years… always have some spare because of the reasons you mentioned. Plus… I start off with another mascara (CT Full Fat Lashes or YSL Lash Clash) and then finish with the BB. Always get compliments on my lashes. Tried all mascaras out there but there is none like the BB Smokey eye imo.
Lisa, I wouldn’t have know about the paint pots if it weren’t for you and I have 2 now. They are the best. Thanks for everything as always! Love your channel 😊
Me too!! I knew about them but for my highschool daughter, 10+ years ago. I have a sun spot on my lid and these neutralize them beautifully. I LOVE THEM!!!!!
My favorite type of video, holy grails, I use the CT shadow stick thanks to you, I used your link, I also love Le Labo Another 13 thanks to you, big thanks!❤
Lisa - I finally got the Dior Forever Matte foundation and it is hands down the best foundation I have ever tried. Everything you said was true - and more! Thank you very much!
I love the Dior Forever in 1.5N I am on my 5th bottle have tried so many others that lie part used, but just come back to Dior and know I will polished. Xxx Happy New Year.
I love all your recommendations and especially i love how consistent you are. So grateful that i found your channel❤❤❤ Also you look stunning today, please dont ever stop making videos😊
I purchased the Dior foundation from your recommendation and I truly love it!! Even my daughter comments about how nice the foundation looks on my skin. The Dior foundation has replaced my Armani foundation.. I also believe that the BK Beauty bushes help with the application of the foundation.. Thank you!!
Lisa! It must be from following you for so long, but these are also my absolute forever favorites! I prefer the Dior Glow foundation & MAC paint pot in Groundwork....but you get it! You've definitely influenced us with the most amazing products....cannot do without the sunscreen, CT eye pencil, Ben brow gel, lash primer, Sephora gloss!
I am so happy that you suggested the Dior Eyelash Primer. You have no idea how many I have bought because of you. I love it! Dolce Vita is my favorite NARS blush color. ❤
I have found that I like MAC paint pots better than other primers sometimes. Like I found I have went back to that one. Its a great product and I never tried other colors but there is pink one and a gold one I want just as shadows. I just always used it as a primer. Never purchased other colors but I may.
Thanks Lisa! I use MAC paint pots as eyelid primer. Dior brow primer and Dior foundation. I also use the Bobbi brown mascara and I the the look of the Nars lipstick looks fab and I love that colour too x❤
Hi Lisa, about half of your products l use them too, especially the lip products, and I use some other ones too, l am really enjoying the Haus Labs, their concealer and foundation and the lip products too, hugsssss ❤❤
Thanks for the recommendations! My most repurchased makeup item is Maybelline Expert Wear Eyebrow pencil in the color Blonde. Best blonde color I’ve found that is truely neutral - not too red or green like other blondes I’ve tried. It last all day and is amazing. Been using this for probably close to 30 years! Haha!
Great picks! I have to try the amber haze pencil. My absolute go to product for eyeshadow is the NYX glitter primer. Helps shimmers look smoother and last longer.
My most repurchased product is JI powder foundation in Warm Silk. I always have two backups . Also fav blush of all time (have backups) is TF Flush that I apply lightly w/ a skunk brush on apples of my cheeks, his lipstick Insidious topped w/ his lipstick Wild Ginger (my backups have backups). Loved this video!
Hi Lisa! Because of your recommendation I bought the CT eyepencil, certainly in amber haze, a long time ago 😍! I loved it soooo much that I bought every single shade and they are all amazing. And maybe you remember that I use the Dior lashprimer too. I follow you for about 8 years and since that time it's always in my top drawer. Love Sabine 😘
My most repurchased product? Hands down Kevyn Aucoin stripped nude skin tint. I know, it is an oldie but for me the finish and coverage are perfect. A close second is Westman Atelier cream foundation ❤
I had the same experience with the Bobbi Brown mascara first time I used it! It’s so special to my heart. It gives perfectly fluttery lash look and yes naturally wispy.
Awesome video. I need to try some of these products I’ve seen you talk about. What color do you use on your fingernails? I love that shade of pink/white. Reminds me of funny bunny!
Hi Lisa! Chiming in about the Bobbi Brown mascara…I purchased a tube of it after seeing your reaction a couple years ago, and I love it!! I think the only thing that would make it better is if they also made it in brown 😊 I just ordered the Dolce Vita lippie a few days ago and I’m impatiently waiting to get my hot little hands on it! 😂 Thanks for a great video, and much love from NC!
Great video! I'm curious if you've used the Jones Road mascara by Bobbi Brown and how does it compare to her old namesake mascara you mentioned here. I've always loved her makeup but haven't tried Jones Road yet.
If Baebrow Wax doesn’t keep my dark eyebrows in-place, then I will next try the Benefit that you recommended. TY for not hyping all new products but treasuring and enjoying what we already own! ❤
Wow! I just realized you influenced me to buy most of these! I bought the sunscreen based on your reviews! I also got the mac eyeshadow, and I love love the CT amber haze eyeliner! Although I have dark brown eyes I love how it looks on me! I also bought the Dior eyelash primer! I probably should go and buy the others!! ❤❤
Love your videos- my hands down favorite mascara was always the Bobbi Brown Everyday or Everything mascara (forget the exact name)- sadly they don't make it anymore- the smokey eye is good, but I sure do miss the other
Great video and using a lot of your holy grails because of your recommendations. My favorite out of all these is the Alastin Hydratint - yes pricey - but I buy a couple of tubes when they have their 20% off sale (which, by the way, they should give you a larger discount code because you talk about them and praise this product all the time!). Also love the Amber Haze - definitely many looks you can get with that "pencil!" I need to try the Bobbi Brown - can't believe I have never tried it because I use a lot of their other products. And then Mac Paint Pots - the best. Thank you for reinforcing how great these products are!
Hi Lisa, great info here! I purchased 3 of your recommendations. Could you please recommend another lip gloss besides the Sephora one that could be purchased at Sephora, Ulta or Macys? I am one of those people who can’t stand even the littlest bit of lip plumping-type feeling, and I would like something equally as awesome that would work for me and give a similar look. Thanks. Love your channel!
For me, it’s Armani Luminous Silk foundation, Urban Decay Perversion mascara, Hourglass compact face powder, Benefit brow pencils, and that Pillow Talk lip liner from Charlotte Tilbury. I also have repurchased Bobbi Brown gel pot eyeliner, and the Bobbi Brown Smokey mascara. I really wasn’t impressed with the Dior lash primer, I don’t get the love for that one. I might try the Alastin SPF, I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about it. When I get to the last little bit in tubes, I cut them in half so I can scoop/scrape out the last bit, and keep it sealed in a ziplock bag until I’ve used it all up. I think sunscreen has been the most challenging thing for me. So hard to find good ones that look nice on their own and work well under makeup without making me feel like I have a mask on.
Enjoyed the video. I’m going to try some of these suggestions. Has anyone with oily skin used the face sunblock? Just wondering how your makeup held up.
I really tried to be smart this year and buy repurchased items in Black Friday sales instead of just randomly looking at sites…city beauty has a great sale still going on. I need to add mac paint pots and that Charlotte tilbury liner!
Hi Lisa I love all these products too!!! And I love watching you use them. How do you feel about the EWG website and do you think there is a reason to be scared of certain products based on their ratings?
Should the Alastin tinted sunscreen be used instead of a moisturizer (with ir without SPF) or in addition? Is it good for more mature skin and for use in a Northeast climate?
